閱讀是人類進步的階梯,也是學習外語最直接的途徑。
這些年我們在閱讀的路上前進了一大步,越來越多的父母關心和重視孩子的閱讀。於是,「閱讀能力的培養」、「如何深度閱讀」、「怎麼測試閱讀能力」等等,也成了大家關心和學習的焦點。
為啥?因為大家都抱有同一個疑惑:閱讀,就只是單純的讀書嗎?
多數經驗告訴我們,單純閱讀不是不行,但不是最能發揮效能的一種閱讀方式。
這就解釋了,為啥咱們在學校要通過各類考題來完成對學習的總結和提升了。
說了這麼多,其實就是為了推薦給各位一些歐美國家學校常用的「萬能題」,學校的老師也會常用這些問題給孩子做測試。
家長們可利用這些問題,在孩子閱讀過後做一個簡單的「家庭測驗」,既能了解孩子閱讀後對書裡內容的理解程度,又可以從側面督促孩子,讀書時要認真,不要囫圇吞棗。

試題分為虛構類和非虛構類,家長可根據書的內容刪減部分試題。
虛構類
1.What does the main character/characters learn in this story?
故事的主人公是誰?
2.What character do like the most in your book? Why?
你最喜歡書中的哪個人物,為什麼?
3.What do you predict will happen next in the story? What information in the text helped you make that prediction?
你預測故事接下來會發生什麼?文字中的哪些信息幫助你做出了這樣的預測?
4.What is the main problem of the story? If you know, how was the problem solved?
故事的主要衝突是什麼? 若是你知道,那麼這個衝突是如何解決的?
5.What is the setting of the story? How do you know?
故事的背景是什麼?你是怎麼知道的?
6.What was your favorite part of this story? Why?
這個故事中你最喜歡的部分是什麼?為什麼?
7.Who is the main character? Describe him/her using three adjectives/character traits.
誰是主角?用三個形容詞(或人物特點)來描述他/她。
8.What lesson did you learn from this story? Explan.
從這個故事中,你學到了什麼?來講一講。
9.Is there anything you would change about the story? What is it?
書中有你想要去修改的地方嗎?具體講一講。
10.Would you like to be a character in this story? Why or why not?
你想成為這個故事中的角色嗎?為什麼?
11.How do you feel about the story? Would you recommend it to someone else? Why or why not?
你是怎樣看待這個故事的?你會把它推薦給別人嗎?為什麼?
12.Summarize what you read today. What were the most important events? Did you learn anything new about the characters?
總結一下今天你閱讀的內容。書中最重要的事件是什麼?關於書中的角色,你對他們有什麼新的了解?
13.What is the story mainly about?
這則故事主要是在講什麼?
14.What was your favorite part of this story? Why?
這個故事中你最喜歡的部分是什麼?為什麼?
15.If you were the author, what would you change in the story?Why would you make that change?
如果你是作者,那麼你會對故事進行哪些修改?為什麼要做這樣的修改?
16.Is what you read believable ?Why or why not?
你所讀的內容是可信的嗎?為什麼?
非虛構類
1.What is the selection you read mainly about?
你所讀的部分,它的主旨大意是什麼?
2.What did you learn while reading?
在閱讀時,你學到了什麼?
3.Why did the author probably write the selection? How do you know?
為什麼作者會寫這一部分?你是怎麼知道的?
4.What was the main idea of what you read? What were the supporting details that told you more about the main idea?
你所讀的部分,它的主旨大意是什麼?哪些支撐細節讓你得到了這樣的結論?
5.How and where could you find out more information about the topic read about today?
關於今天所閱讀的主題,你會怎麼去尋找,在哪裡尋找更多的相關信息?

7.What did you find interesting about this selection?
這段選文有什麼有意思的地方?
9.What do you remember most about the selection you read?

10.Did you find an interesting word in this selection? What was it? Use a dictionary to find out its meaning and write a sentence of your own using the interesting word that you found.
你在這段選文中發現了什麼有意思的詞?它是什麼?用詞典查出它的含義,並用它造句。
在美國,這種閱讀後測試的方法,一般從G3(三年級)開始,更小的孩子還是建議快樂閱讀,把培養興趣放在首位。
