Germans are not No.1 in train technology or train services. Japan is. Japan's bullet train (Shinkansen) has no accident since its operation started in 1964, while German's bullet train (ICE) has several major accidents. ICE is also slower than Shinkansen, most of the route of ICE is around 200 km/hr. ICE must be worst train when it comes to punctuality, sometime it is late by 1 hour! Unimaginable, right Shinkansen has an average delay under 1 minute. German trains travel is also expensive compared to Japanese. How I know all this Worked in Japan and living in Germany. Chinese stole German Maglev concepts to make their own but while German Maglev can run at 450 km/hr, Shinkansen Maglev can run at 603 km/hr. I am sure, this or next year they will further increase Shinkansen speed while maintaining bar to none safety records.

CRH3 is based on ICE 3 from Germany, CRH2 with E2 from Japan and CRH5 with ETR600 from Alston French, we bought them, fool. if you say so, there are only Japanese French and Germany that count. And now we have our own CR400.

Correction. China bought the Maglev technology from Germany and modified it to meet its own operating standards. Even the German chancelor at the time went to Shanghai to oversee its delivery to China.

Well, then everybody stole everything if you say so, trains were invented in England first now so many countries making trains so does that mean that every country stole it Germans made the cars first now many countries making cars does that mean every country stole it You need to understand the difference between capability of making, improving technology and stealing! To make such things you need brains and extremely hard work with lots of research, it's not like I gave you something and you can make it instantly can you Can you make rockets trains, maglev within a very short timeI saw at different universities in China how they research, how much men work and money they pour in just to improve technology. I have seen students researching 18-20 hours a day in China so don't just assume that they are just coping, it's easy to say but hard to get something done.

ravi goyal, that your western country's own fault. Western country don't sell anything to China so China try making everything by himself and today China can make everything by himself. Also you guys don't let China join the international space station (ISS) so soon the international space station (ISS) will be gone because of too old and by that time China will have space up and it will be the only one. Lastly things that China make are actually better than your such as the train.

I think there is a large difference between a levitating train and a train on real tracks... If other countries would make maglevs, they could beat Japan.
The problem with train on tracks is that the current infrastructure (the tracks) can't deal with high speeds. Japan did a great innovation with their system.

Also, there's a difference in what they try to accomplish with those records. The French managed to get a traditional train to run at 574km/h, which is quite an achievement. It was however with a highly modified train using an increased current which also did quite some damage to the tracks and catenary. They tested the limits of technology, not so much what would be feasible in regular service.
The speed records in most other countries are with (more or less) regular train sets, resulting in slowly increasing top speeds in regular service. Its testing for more practical purposes.
It was the same thing long ago with steam engines: the British still hold the record for the fastest steam train ever, but that run basically destroyed the engine. The Germans had a only slightly slower run, but that engine remained in service for many years. And the Americans might even have broken the record in actual service numerous times, but since such high speeds were illegal they never did official speed runs.
