臨近春節，有的朋友選擇回家，有的選擇去旅遊獎勵一年來辛苦的自己，帶家人去度假。如今去旅遊之前我們免不了要提前預訂酒店，不然等去了旅行地再找酒店住下來，那就頭疼了，節假日酒店房間供不應求。所以要做有準備的旅遊，可省去很多麻煩，也能讓家人玩得更開心。那如果去國外，又不想跟團的前提下，我們繞不開話題，首先自己要預定酒店。那預定酒店英文怎麼說呢？
1）「預定酒店」怎麼說？
Make a reservation 預定酒店，也許你會說「make a booking"一樣也是預定呀，那這裡我們要與「make a booking」區分開來：
Reservation means to ask them to hold it for you but you paylater.
Booking means to ask them to hold it for you but you paynow.
e.g: Good afternoon! I'd like to make a reservation,please.When do you have any vacancies in January?
Could I make a booking for a flight to London tomorrow?
2）"trip" is "travel" ？兩個是同一個意思嗎？
They are the different,"trip"is especially a short journey for pleasure.After a journey to a place and back again.
"travel"is especially over a long distance,its need to go from one place to another.
e.g: When planning a trip,you need to first decide where you would like to stay.
I'd like to travel around the world.From now on,let start to save more money for it.
3）選擇什麼酒店？「hotel"、」motel」 or「inn"?
Hotel means a large place with many rooms and a place to eat,as well as other services for traveling.
Motel means a smaller and less expensive place to stay than a hotel.It has rooms that are usually accessible from an outdoor parking area and has less services available than a hotel.
Inn means a country-style motel,but includes a place to eat.
e.g: There is a big indoor swimming poor in this hotel.
I found a small,inexpensive motel on the outskirts of the town,it was barren and unlovely.
He spent the night in a wayside inn.
旅行中最好的酒店就是選擇適合自己當下的經濟條件，就是最好的。
4）「check in" and "check out"什麼意思？
當我們預定酒店時候，前臺會問你什麼時候入住，什麼時候退房，那英文入住就是"check in"，退房就是"check out」。
e.g: I would like to check in on Saturday and check out Sunday.
