最近很多地區陰雨綿綿，
今天我們就應景的來學一學有關「下雨」的各種表達吧。

根據雨量大小區分：
1) drizzle 下小雨，毛毛雨
拓展：sprinkle 毛毛雨（氣象術語 ），這個單詞表示「撒」的意思，也常被用來形容毛毛雨；
2) scattered rain 零星小雨
例：We have to cancel the track and field contestbecause of the scattered rain.
因為零星的降雨所以我們必須取消田徑賽。
3) downpour / rain buckets傾盆大雨
中文裡常形容雨下的特別大像是用「倒」的一樣，那對應的英文裡就可以用downpour。
4) a heavy rain 也是形容雨很大
例：Here was a heavy rain this morning.
今天早上下了一場大雨。
5) artificial rainfall 人工降雨
生活小百科：人工降雨方法是根據不同雲層的物理特性，選擇合適時機，用飛機、火箭向雲中播撒乾冰、碘化銀、鹽粉等催化劑，使雲層降水或增加降水量。
淋雨可以這麼說：
get wet in the rain
be exposed to rain
be caught in the rain
關於「下雨」的習語表達
1. rain cats and dogs 傾盆大雨
rain cats and dogs 是一句非常受歡迎的俚語
例：It rained cats and dogs last night.
昨晚雨下得很大。
當然你也可以直接說：It's raining really hard. 或是We're having a heavy rain." 同樣也是「雨下得很大」。
2. When it rains, it pours 禍不單行
例：When it rains, it pours. His fiance left him too!
禍不單行，他的未婚妻也離開他了。
3. rain or shine 風雨無阻
例：We'll go camping rain or shine.
不管颳風下雨，咱都去野營。
4. I am soaked 落湯雞
「落湯雞」在英文裡常用 "I amsoaked." 我溼透了，來形容。
例：It’s rainingcats and dogs out there so I am soaked.
雨下得很大，我被淋成了落湯雞。
