這些穿著淡粉色衣服，對著鏡頭微笑的人們是誰？他們是1900年左右的尤文圖斯。現在尤文身穿的經典黑白條紋是他們身份不可或缺的一部分，但是在1897年球隊建立的時候，原本的制服其實是粉色球衣加上黑色領帶的。因當時的衣服製造遠遠比不上現在的質量，球隊在1903年發現原本鮮豔的粉色因為重複清洗已經褪色很嚴重了。鑑於足球文化深深植根於英國傳統，尤文圖斯決定與英格蘭的球衣製造商聯繫。
Who are these men in faded pink shirts smiling for the camera? They're Juventus, sometime around the year 1900. Today's Juve wears the iconic black & white jersey, and are so connected to their colors that they are nicknamed the "Bianconeri" (translates literally to white-blacks). However, this hasn't always been the case, as the founders of the club first wore pink shirts and black neckties. Since football shirts were not nearly as professionally manufactured back then, the team found that the pink color gradually washed off and was almost completely faded by the year 1903. With football culture so deeply rooted in English tradition, Juventus decided to contact manufacturers in England for new jerseys.

From here on, there are two versions of the story. Both versions include Tom Savage, an Englishman who not only was a Juventus player but also had connections to the English textile industry. The first story is straightforward- Savage had connections with Notts County F.C., a club that wears black and white stripes, and asked if they would supply Juventus with a replacement kit. The second story is a more interesting one, as it is said that Savage asked his manufacturer contact for a batch of pink jerseys. However, the shirts that arrived in Turin were not pink but black and white, in an accidental delivery mistake that was meant to be for Notts County. The rest is history, as Juventus decided to stick with the new shirts with pride.
