MoCA Shanghai Young Artistic Leaders Summer Camp @ MOCA Shanghai

The Young Artistic Leaders Summer Camp will be a fun introduction to performing arts techniques, focusing on improvisation and storytelling from a global perspective. Through out these two weeks, kids will be able to interact with a bilingual team of multidisciplinary teaching artists; gain hands-on experience creating art in a museum setting; participate in a private tour of two museums to understand the behind-the scenes of art institutions; gain an interdisciplinary and cohesive experience with contemporary art; learn skills to become artistic leaders; and more. Runs through Jul 23 to Aug 3. Good for 9-11 year olds (only 13 spots). Content: Choreography/improvisation, theatre, ballade music, design, museum education, and script-writing courses culminating in a closing ceremony performance. Price: ¥3000 per student. Brasil In Trio @ Shake

Brasil In Trio features three musicians – Everton Luiz on saxophone and flute, Diego Amaral on percussion and Julio Lemos on 7-string guitar – who have played together since 2007 and teach music at the Federal University of Goiás when they’re not touring the world. Shanghai Ballet: The White-haired Girl @ Shanghai International Dance Center

The Shanghai Ballet’s 「The White-haired Girl」 is one of China’s most popular revolutionary-themed dance works. It was created in 1964 and made its premiere the following year. Now, the Shanghai Ballet has made an anniversary production of the classic and is bringing it back to the stage.

KASHMERE China Tour 2018 @ Yuyingtang

Straight out of Stockport, England, KASHMERE merges anthemic, stadium-sized indie rock, with a cut of melodic brooding synth pop to create their own unique form of sonic worth. Formed by Joey Newey and Andy Law, on vocals/guitar and drums, as well as lead guitarist Charlie Cole and bassist Freddie Hughes. The band gained recognition after long-awaited debut single 「Blow Your Mind」 springing the band into the limelight in the summer of 2016.
