S: 老師，肯定句變否定句時，不是and要變為or嗎？為什麼這個否定句中用and?
There is no water and no air on the moon.
T: 並列成分前都帶有否定詞時，要用and。
此句也可說成：
There is not water or air on the moon.
S: 那否定句中,還有什麼情況下用and?
T: 小結一下：
1. 簡單句中含有兩個否定詞時用and；
People can’t live without water and air.
2. 並列成分前各自都帶有否定詞時用and;
He has no brothers and no sisters.
3. and 構成的並列詞組；
He didn’t want to work day and night.
4. 並列成分作主語時；
You and me can’t be friends.
5. 否定的祈使句中並列先後發生的兩個動作時.
Don’t drink and drive.
S: 明白了。老師，如果or並列兩個主語，謂語動詞用單數還是複數？
T: 採取主謂一致中的就近原則，即A or B作主語時，謂語V和就近的B保持數的一致。比如：
He or you are right.
Rain or no rain is business as usual.
有雨或沒雨都正常進行。
S: 老師，那疑問句中用and還是or?
T: 疑問句中，表選擇時用or,即構成選擇疑問句。表並列是and。比如：
Would you like tea or coffee?
你想要茶還是咖啡？
Would you like tea and coffee?
你想要茶和咖啡嗎？

連詞and與or的根本區別就是其意義的不同：
and表並列關係，叫並列連詞；
or表選擇關係，應該叫選擇連詞。
