相信很多看了上面英文標題的朋友都有特別彆扭的感覺。為什麼？很明顯，這標題英文實在是太中式英語了！而且從原文意義角度出發，此翻譯是錯誤的！漢語意思「給點顏色你看看」，並非真的給紅色，綠色，紫色等等這些顏色某人看，而是引申義「你走著瞧」的意思。所以我們要把它翻譯成英語是這樣表達「just wait and see".

這完全是典型的機械直譯。出現這種情況原因是他們學英語還是按照個人的中式思維，忽略了並且曲解了原文的原意。實際此句原意是「只要努力學習，就會有進步」。如果我們這樣理解了，就不會出現上面提到的中式錯誤譯法，而是會正確翻譯成「study hard, and you will make progress"。
