出梅入暑，天氣漸漸炎熱。而夏日裡，除了空調西瓜能夠解暑之外，在塘邊、湖畔散步，欣賞那田田荷葉、亭亭玉蓮，亦是消解燥熱的妙法。
As we get rid of the plum rain season and we enter the dog days. Apart from hiding in the air-conditioned room and eating iced watermelon, it will also help to cool down a little bit in the summer, by walking alongside a pond or lake that are filled up with blooming lotus.
前陣子，被一篇文章撩撥，心裡長草了一般地渴望去瞧一瞧荷花與睡蓮。
A few days ago, inspired by an article I started longing for visiting lotus and water lily.
昨夜，我興衝衝地把這篇文章裡推薦的幾個地方簡單調查了一下，排除了幾個比較遠的公園，選中了「曲陽公園」。因為這個公園的路程不算太遠，並且公園是免費開放的。
Last night, I finally got the time to make some plans. I ruled out parks that are very far away. At last, I chosed Quyang Park. For one thing, it's closer to my appartment and it is free.
今早，我簡單地收拾了行囊出發。第一段地鐵，比較順利。換乘時卻逢運輸高峰，儘管地鐵發車的頻率很高，但是每次到來的車廂都是滿滿當當，上的多下的少，而且後面的隊伍也越來越長了。
So, this morning, I packed up and went on my journey. The first metro took me to the transfer station on time, but the second metro was a bit more difficult. Although there were many trains, they were packed with passengers. What was worse, every time it stopped there was hardly anybody getting off. The lines for getting on the train was getting longer and longer.
而且，我嘗試過強行上車，結果是，我擠不上去。
I did tried to get on the train, but I figured out I couldn't fit myself in the tiny space.
當第5趟滿載的列車從我面前飛馳而過，我決定不能再在這裡耗著了，便衝到了對面的火車裡，到了下一站便出站。
When the fifth train arrived and I was not able to get on, I decieded to cancel the rest of my trip. So, I rushed into the almost empty train and went in the opposite direction. I got off at the next stop.
出站後才意識到我已經開始偏離計劃了。沒關係，我的冒險才剛剛開始。誰知道接下來會發生什麼呢？
When I got off the station, I realized that I was lost and totally off my plan. "It's all right," I said to myself, "It will be an adventure. Who knows what's in store for me? "
我打開手機地圖，發現自己離上海植物園特別近，便欣然前往。
I opened the map on my phone and, to my surprise, I found that I was close to the Shanghai Botanical Garden. So, I decided to go there instead.
從3號門（並非正門）進入園子後，映入眼帘的是一方假山和噴泉，石塊間種著各種花卉，水面上飄著睡蓮。
I bought a ticket and entered the garden from Gate No. 3. The first thing I saw was a fountain encapsulated in a fake mountain, there were many kinds of blooming flowers among the rocks and above the water floated a couple of water lily.
假山的背後，綠樹成蔭。適時天氣多雲，且有風，林間不時飄來陣陣鳥語，讓人瞬間忘卻了自己身處中國的一座繁華都市。
There is a small bushy area behind the rocks. The weather was cloudy and a bit windy and suddenly I heard the birds' singing, this made me forget that I was in a busy and prosperous modern city.
我選擇了右手邊的一條小路開始遊園。路邊的石凳、樹蔭下，許多遊人或是乘涼，或是相聚唱歌跳舞。
I started the journey from the path at my right hand. Along the track, I saw many visitors. They were either sitting in the shades or gathered together singing and dancing.
不多時，我到達了一處水邊，驚喜地看到了一池荷花。
After walking for a while, I arrived at the bank of a beautiful lake with many magnificent lotus there.
荷花正當季，有的已經敗落，只剩下花灑一樣的蓮蓬（確切地說，是花灑山寨了人家蓮蓬的造型），有的正在綻放，有的半開未開，有的才露尖尖角~
At this time of the year it is lotus season. Some of the lotus flowers had already perished, exposing their shower-head like lotus seedpods (I wonder if the shower-head was inspired by lotus seedpod). Some were blooming, some were half blossomed and others had flower buds.
移了幾步，又見水裡還有睡蓮。
Walking alongside the lake, I saw there were also water lilies.
荷塘美景，讓人流連忘返。
The beauty of these lotus made me want to stay there forever.
繼續前行，走過了幾座橋，穿過一片草坪，任憑雙腳帶我四處遊蕩。
But I kept walking and passed a couple of bridges, crossed a huge lawn and kept wandering around.
忽然，峰迴路轉，發現自己站在一座薔薇園的門前。
At the end of a path, I found myself suddenly, standing in front of a rose garden.
走進拱門，撲面而來的淡淡花香讓人心醉神迷。回神定睛細看，花兒的數目繁多、種類豐富、顏色多變、形狀各異，更是讓我驚訝不已。
I entered the garden through an archway and I was intoxicated with the soft rosy fragrance. When I came to my sense and started looking at them, I was shocked by the vast variety of the many species and the varied colors with many shapes of roses.
潔白如玉，鵝黃似琥珀，粉紅似少女的臉頰，大紅似美人的誘人的唇......
There were some white as jade, some yellow as amber, some pink as young girls' cheeks and some as red as beautiful woman's lips.....
頭頂的雲不斷地移動，豔陽從雲中露出了臉，熱情地炙烤著大地。我汗流浹背地離開薔薇園，找尋一片陰涼之地。
As the clouds moved hastily above, the sun suddenly appeared and bathed the earth with its zeal. SoI left in search of a place shade.
行走中，路過一片紫藤蘿，偶遇了一隻準媽媽(>^ω^<)喵醬~
I then ran into a pregnant cat as I passed by some purple vines.
她特別警惕，見到我後先是瞪了我兩分鐘。見我沒有行動，她迅速爬上藤蘿架，蹲在牆上繼續瞪我。我抬頭看她的時候才注意到，藤蘿架的另一側，還有兩位喵桑~
She was very anxious and nervous about this meeting. She stared at me for at least two minutes, then she climbed onto the vines very quickly and continued to staring at me. As I looked up at her, I then noticed there were two more cats lying on top of the vines casually.
小憩之後，我告別了緊張兮兮的貓媽媽，我走進了一片茂密的竹林。
After a little break, I said goodbye to that mummy cat and walked into the bamboo grove.
竹林小徑，幽暗綿長。我哼著「南屏晚鐘」，聽著鳥鳴與竹葉的窸窣，聞著竹子的清香，一路輕快地走過。
The path in the bamboo grooves was a bit dark and long. I Hummed a song while listening to the brids' singing. I could hear the rustle of leaves as I breathed the fagrance of bamboos.

夏天到了，別老窩在家裡吹空調，帶著你的另一半（可男可女，實在沒有就帶著手機假裝自己不單身~）去看蓮花吧。
Summer is here, please come out of your air-conditioned rooms and go visit the lotus with your partner (could be a guy, a girl, or just your phone Lol).
