英語閱讀：《新概念英語》第三冊英譯英 L1 A Puma at large 3
如果下面的英語你「讀起來」感覺：沒有中文翻譯根本「讀」不了，或者只能「讀」成中文的話，看來我們的「英語閱讀」離真正的「沒有語言環境照樣能說英語，用英語」差距還不小。
一、課文

二、給自己「用」英語，「說」英語的鍛鍊機會

能用英語「說」英語就可以避開「」只有說中文意思才能理解了」。「英語閱讀」要我們練的就是這個能力，而不是「」英譯漢」能力。那是「另外一種」英語學習，但是，不是「英語閱讀」。
2.A discription of something is you say what something or someone looks like.
3 When you say He is as big as a bear,you're discribing him,you're telling us what he looks like.
能這麼「用」英語的時候，「再說」中文顯然就「多餘」了。不是嗎？
4.If something is extraordinarily similar,it is very very similar,meaning almost the same.
「英語閱讀」要的就是這個能把學過的英語「用起來」的能力，當然不是英譯漢能力。
2) The hunt for the puma began in a small village
1.When we hunt for something or someone,we look for them,we search for them.
英語已經「說」到這樣的程度，離開中文「英語死不了」。
2.So,the hunt for the puma began means the search for the puma began.The looking-for the puma began.
3) where a woman picking blackberries saw 'a large cat' only five yards away from her.
1.A woman picks blackerries,she can also pick apples in the garden,pick vegetables on the farm,pick rice in thevfield(你繼續接龍).
2.only five yards away from her
If someone or something is only five yards away from you,the distance between you and them is only five yards.
「用」中文翻譯only five yards away from her就沒有機會「一用」英語distance between等等了，英語就變得「只學不用」，「學而不用」，「學用脫節」。
