汛情英語英譯英閱讀：Flooding in China
你可以「靠」中文「讀懂」英語，然後稱之為所謂「英語閱讀」：我讀懂英語啦！但是，我可以肯定你這樣的「英語閱讀」讀得再多，讀得再多也無助於你的英語水平的提高：你不過是在「讀」中文而已，你的「英語閱讀」根本沒有「用到」英語，沒有「說」任何英語。你的所謂的「英語閱讀」根本沒有很好地區分英語的「變相式」中文閱讀和正宗的「英語閱讀」。
只有在英語閱讀中「用」了英語，「說」了英語的閱讀才能叫做英語閱讀，也才是真正讓你在非英語語言環境下學習英語而能拔高你英語水平的英語閱讀。
你現在明白你用中文「啃」的一大堆英文原著大部頭為什麼沒有給你的英語水平提高(用中文學英語語法除外，用中文分析英語長難句除外。這些都不是「英語閱讀」範圍，是「語法學習」內容)帶來任何作用的原因了吧？
下面這段英語看來你是只能「靠」中文「讀懂」的了。可是，你看看我是怎樣「用」英語讀懂的，我在閱讀中都「用」了哪些英語。

「英語閱讀」：
1.Many provinces in southern China
A province is similar to a state in tge USA.
而你卻把英語province「讀成」了中文：省份。這是「讀」英語，還是「讀」中文？你的「英語閱讀」有用了學過的英語similar to a state了嗎？沒有的話，怎麼能叫英語閱讀呢？
2.Many provinces in southern China have been experiencing heavy rainfall
Many provinces in southern China have been hit by heavy rainfall.There have been heavy rainfalls in many provivces in China.
我用英語就能直接「讀懂」了，還有必要「靠」中文才能理解嗎？
所以，你多年「英語閱讀」的關鍵不是「懂」中文意思了，是：你「能用」英語嗎？
讀到英語Many provinces in southern China have been experiencing heavy rainfall時，你「不會說」，「不會用」英語(哪怕學過)Many provinces in southern China have been hit by heavy rainfall，或者There have been heavy rainfalls in many provivces in China才是你最需要努力的地方，而不是用中文學一大堆「用不上」的「實用地道」英語。
而且，「不懂」英語英語意思又不肯花時間查查英英字典是又一個最大「短板」。

我們很多人不把英語flooding翻譯成中文「洪水，水災」就「讀不懂」flooding的：你越是這樣「讀」，你離「英語閱讀」就越遠。

你又把英語natural disaster「讀成」中文，而我則把英語natural disaster「讀成」英語：Okay.I got you.A natural disaster is something like flooding,landslide,earthquake.
你在通過英語natural disaster「用」你的母語中文「天災」，我卻通過英語natural disaster「復現」學過的英語something like flooding,landslide,earthquake等等。
這就是你的「英語閱讀」和我的「英語閱讀」把我們之間的英語拉開越來越大的原因。
