It's a long shot.機會不大。a long shot其實不一定起源於射擊，這個說法最早出現於英國的賽車，用於「大膽押注」的情況。有一種說法認為它是由更早的not by a long chalk而來（意指機會不大），使用chalk是因為酒館裡的小遊戲是用粉筆記錄的。
