This is a case of achalasia.These chest PA and lateral views demonstrate the dilated esophagus.You can see that there is a bulge to the right mediastinal border on the PA view.And on the lateral view you can see that the esophagus is dilated and there is a small air-fluid level that you can see with the arrowhead on the lateral views. You know, achalasia is a rare disorder of the muscle of the lower esophageal sphincter and so on chest X-ray which you gonna see in this patient is a dilated esophagus that's fluid filled.

This is a case of achalasia. Its chest PA and lateral views. Demostrates the dilated esophagus. You can see there is a bulge to the right mediastinal boarder on the PA view and on the lateral view you can see the esophagus dilated and there is small air fluid level you can see with the arrow head on the lateral view. And you know achalasia is a rare disorder of the muscle of the lower esophageal sphincter. So chest X ray this patient is dilated esophagus that’s often fluid filled.
