other，others，the other， the others還有another，經常出現在小升初或者中考，高考的選擇題中，那具體怎麼區分呢？
今天我們一起學習一下這些詞的區別
1. other 泛指「其他的（人或物）」.如：
Do you have any other question(s)?
Ask some other people.
Put it in your other hand.
2. the other特指兩者／兩部分中的一個
I bought two dresses, one is yellow, and the other is green.
On the other side of the street, there is a tall tree.
Mary is much taller than the other girls.
3. others是other的複數形式,泛指「另外幾個」,「其餘的」.
Some of us like singing and dancing, others go in for sports.
Think more for others.
4. the others 某一範圍內的「其他的所有人」.是the other的複數形式.
Two boys will go to the zoo, and the others will stay at home.
the others=the other +複數名詞
Mary is much taller than the other girls.
= Mary is much taller than the others.
5.another 泛指同類事物中的三者或三者以上的「另一個」,只能代替或修飾單數可數名詞.如：
I don’t like this one. Please show meanother.
I have three daughters. One is a nurse, another is a teacher and another is a worker.
I still remember my old friends in my hometown. One is Lucy, and another is Mary.
another+數字+名詞=數字+more+名詞
another two cakes= two more cakes
the other常常與one 連用，具體形式為one …the other.
He has two daughters. One is a nurse, and the other is a worker.
others 可以單獨使用，其意思與 other+名詞相同。
