動詞短語是由動詞和介詞、副詞、名詞等構成的，在句中作謂語。

93.lead to導致，引起

用法：lead to此時指某種原因引起某種結果，to後面一般跟名詞或者名詞短語。

 

例句：Do some kinds of personalities lead to longer lives? (2016年6月四級)

某些性格會使人長壽嗎?

 

語法結構分析：some kinds of personalities是主語（some和kinds of是前置定語）， Do lead to 是謂語，longer lives是賓語（longer是前置定語）。

 

94. learn from向……學習

用法：learn from還表示「從……中得到教程，從……中吸取教訓」等，from後面可以跟表示人或者物的名詞或者代詞。

 

例句：It is better for different states to learn from each other. (2014年12月四級)

不同的國家之間互相學習會更好。

 

95. leave for動身去……

用法：leave for側重強調離開之後要去的地方。

 

例句：Our train will leave for Denver in twenty minutes.

我們的火車20分鐘後出發去丹佛。

 

96. look at對……持有某種看法

用法：look at後面要接賓語，強調看的目標。

 

例句：In the 1990s, many economists began to look at chaos theory as a way of providing models for forecasting. (2015年12月六級)

在20世紀90年代，許多經濟學家開始把混沌理論看作是提供預測模型的一種方式。

用法：lie in還表示「分娩，待產」，不用於被動語態。
