interesting 和 interested一個修飾物一個修飾人嗎?錯了!| 語法秒懂

最近有學生問我一個問題：

interesting 和 interested 如何區分？是不是一個修飾人、一個修飾物？

這其實是一種非常不精確的區分方法，因為interesting 和 interested 既可以修飾人、也可以修飾物。注意辨析：

an interesting person

一個有趣的人

an interested person

一個饒有興致的人

所以還得從含義入手。

interesting 表示「令人感興趣的」，interested 表示「某人自己本身（對某事物）感興趣」。

另外，interesting 一般做定語放在名詞前面，比如：

an interesting book

an interesting movie

an interesting topic

…

而 interested 除了可以做定語修飾名詞（一般是人），更多的情況是作為主語為人的表語，比如：

I am interested.

我感興趣

而且通常後面會帶出對象，即「對…感興趣的」，具體結構：be interested in…，比如：

I am interested in the topic.

我對這個話題感興趣。

另外， in 後面還可以接動名詞，比如：

He is interested in collecting bottle caps .

他對收集瓶蓋感興趣。
