【翻譯】舊模式和陷阱會首先跳出來，
【二級從句】that stopped us from seeking what we wanted in the first place.
【解析】這是定語從句，修飾前邊的先行詞the old patterns and pitfalls，這裡翻譯的時候不必把定語從句翻譯到先行詞前邊，而是直接把that替換成先行詞。what we wanted是個賓語從句，做seeking的賓語；
【翻譯】阻止我們追求最想要的東西。
第八步：總體把握句子大意：
