♦年假用英語怎麼說？
有同學第一反應是「year holiday?」，其實這是不準確的表達。
✔年假是annual leave（annual/ˈænjuəl/ 年度的），這裡既不用holiday也不用vacation，而是用leave，因為leave表示的是：因病或休息而請的假。
Our annual leave is thirty days.
我們每年休假30天。
✔年會怎麼說呢？
如果翻譯成「year meeting」也是很中式的表達。
「年會」正確的說法應該是annual meeting或annual party
She is looking forward to the performance of the annual meeting.
她很期待年會的表演環節。
✔「年終獎」怎麼說？
「年終獎」我們可以翻譯成 「year-end bonus」，bonus有「獎金，獎勵」的意思。
I got a five month year-end bonus last year, but only a two month bonus this year.
我去年領了五個月的年終獎金，可是今年只領了兩個月。
✔「抽獎」怎麼說？
抽獎的英文其實是「lucky draw」，draw /drɔː/ 本身就有「抽獎、抽籤」的意思，加上lucky就是一場幸運的抽獎。
