今年8月25日，「發現安寧」（@Discover Anning）海外社交媒體臉書、推特帳號正式上線。截至11月底，平臺粉絲總數近3萬，帖文累計覆蓋人數近100萬，實現互動5萬餘人次，點讚數突破3萬。
雲南省安寧市位於昆明市西南32公裡處，是昆明通往滇西8個地州，連接南亞、東南亞的交通重鎮。
安寧海外社交媒體帳號運營根據國際輿論走向及時調整宣傳策略及傳播角度，發布安寧標誌性文化旅遊景點，展示當地特色美食小吃，通過城市全景高清美圖等內容、形式增強海外受眾對安寧的喜愛與認同。
同時，帳號積極同用戶互動，及時回復粉絲留言，得到了不少網友的肯定與支持。
