轉眼暑假就過去了，同學們考研複習得怎麼樣了呢？如果一直沒有步入正軌，也不要慌啊，更不要覺得複習不完就放棄吧，偷偷告訴大家，其實學姐當年也是暑假過後才開始真正認真準備考研的，但也以專業排名第三的成績考上了（也許有努力也有幸運吧，400分不多不少）。
學姐以「過來人」的經驗提醒大家：如果起步較早，那就慢慢發力，因為基礎已經打得很好啦，不要突然一段時間用力過度，最後衝刺階段會很累的；起步較晚的話，就一鼓作氣，做到這三四個月心無旁騖地去複習，給自己一個暗暗的決心，就用這幾個月拼盡全力去爭取一個可能完全不一樣的人生軌跡吧!
好啦，調整備考心態就講到這兒，接下來步入正題，我們都知道考研英語中作文是重點，很多同學都很重視大作文，小作文往往不上心，但往往小作文是容易丟分、也容易拿分的部分。所以大家還是要重視起來。雖然大綱中羅列了多種小作文類型，但在歷年真題中，最常考的就是書信（PS.去年比較特殊）。我們一起來看一下書信的寫作方法吧。
1. 稱呼語
Dear Sir or Madam，

投訴：I am writing to complain about ... that I purchased from your store two weeks ago.
感謝：I am writing to extend my sincere gratitude toward...
邀請：I’m writing to request your attendance at a dinner party that is to be held in August.
申請：I’m writing for an opportunity to work in your esteemed company that boasts of decades of reputation.
書信類型看似很多，但不同類型作文首段積累一種寫法基本上就足夠用了。
Directions：You live in a room in college which you share with another student. You find it very difficult to work there because your roommate always has friends visiting. He/She has parties in the room and sometimes uses your things without your permission. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college:1) asking for a new room next term,2) stating that you would prefer a single room, and3) explaining your reasons.2. 用幾句話把關鍵內容表達出來，可以舉例，但注意不要拖沓，要減少廢話哦。I am writing to inform you that I wish to move into a new room next term. I would prefer a single room, as I find the present sharing apartment inconvenient. I must explain that the reason for my dissatisfaction is my roommate’s inconsiderate behavior. For one thing, his friends are constantly visiting him. For another, he regularly holds noisy parties. In addition, he sometimes uses my things without my permission. In these circumstances, I find it difficult to concentrate on my studies. I am sure you will agree that the only solution for me is to move into a room of my own, where I will be free from such distractions.I would appreciate your assistance in this matter. If you have any question, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Look forward to your reply.基本上積累兩三個版本的結語就OK啦，適用大多數小作文。在文章右下角署名，一般格式為：Yours sincerely, 然後下一行寫名字，這裡要注意這兩行都是右對齊，標點一定是「逗號」。
