Today we’re studying phrasal verbs with "dig".

今天要和大家分享由 "dig" 組成的動詞詞組。

1. Dig in : 開吃 

This is an informal way to say, go ahead and start eating.

[e.g.]

Alright guys, the food's going to get cold so dig in!

好了，夥伴們，食物會變冷的，所以開吃吧！

"dig one's heels in" 堅持立場 （拒絕、抵抗）

[e.g.]

He keeps trying to get me to change my mind, but I'm digging in my heels.

他一直在試圖讓我改變主意，但我卻在堅持自己的立場。

2. Dig up : 發現

[e.g.]

They're trying to dig up evidence to put him in jail.

他們正試圖發現證據把他送進監獄。

3. Dig out :

[e.g.]

I hate it when I have to dig something out that's at the very bottom of my purse.

我很討厭這種情況，就是當我不得不在我的錢包底部找出一些東西時。

After the earthquake, they tried for days to dig out survivors.

地震過後，他們用了好幾天時間試圖發掘出倖存者。

4. Dig : To dig something is slang for liking it.喜歡 (American slang 美式俚語)

I dig your shoes.

5. dig into：挖掘;把…戳進…;調查; 刻苦鑽研

We really dig into these companies. 

我們確實深入挖掘了這些公司的情況。

[e.g.]

While he was studying classical literature he also began to dig into ancient Chinesehistory. 

他在研究古典文學的同時，還開始鑽研中國古代史。

6. infra dig：有失身份的;有失尊嚴的

[e.g.]

Dancing in the street is rather infra dig for a bank manager! 

一個銀行經理在街上跳舞，那是頗失身分的！

[e.g.]

To make a scene in any public place is infra dig. 

在任何公共場所鬧事都是有失身份的。
