The team has been conducting extensive research since November, allowing its members to understand the social backgrounds of eating disorder in different countries as well as current solutions. We have also collected survey data from more than 200 interviewees, and interviewed experts in and outside of China, several teachers/counselors from high schools in Beijing, as well as a few social media influencers who focus on the issue of Eating Disorder. Our initial research led to an original promotional video and a paper to sum up the preliminary findings.

The lecture on Feb. 5th is the first step for the team to put their research into practice. The team members described their plan as such: 「To begin with, from interviews with experts, we found that the most important reason for eating disorder’s severity in students is the lack of understanding for students and parents. Therefore, our first solution for this problem is to bring our knowledge into schools in the form of informative talks, allowing both students and parents to understand the causes of eating disorders and how to treat them.」
