No more and not any... more 兩個短語含義上沒有區別，只是no more比not...any more更正式一些。用法更是相同，都是被用作限定詞做定語或者用作狀語。


那麼，為什麼有人會問到這個問題呢？我猜是因為兩個詞長得不像？簡單講，他們兩個不過是一個用了no，一個用了 not...any。都一個意思，不必糾結。他們的用法如下：


1、用作限定詞，放在名詞前面。表示「有過，但再沒有了。」 

I will ask no more questions. (formal) 

= I won’t ask any more questions. (informal)

我沒問題問了。（之前問過問題的）


There’s no more cake. They』ve eaten it all. 

=There isn’t any more cake.

再沒蛋糕了。他們全吃光了。


2、用作狀語，放在動詞後面。表示「再也不了」。

The army has arrived. We should fear no more. (formal)

部隊來了，我們再也不害怕了。

I wouldn’t worry any more if I was you. Everything will be okay. (informal)

我要是你我就不再擔心了。


3、如果要是加上所比的對象，那麼就要用到than了。即：

No more … than（正式）, Not any more … than（非正式）

The northward journey from Jalalabad was no more than 120 miles.

從賈拉拉巴德向北的旅程不到120英裡。


Flying there isn’t any more expensive than getting the train. (informal)

飛到那裡不比坐火車貴。


最後，用作狀語時，英式英語中習慣寫成 any more，而美式英語中則習慣寫成一個詞anymore。但，如果用作限定詞，無論英式還是美式都不會寫成一個詞。例如：

I’m not cold any more.  （用作狀語）

這個句子就可以寫成：

I’m not cold anymore.


下面這個呢？

I can’t print any more copies. The printer isn’t working. （用作定語限定詞）

這個句子可不能寫成： I can’t print anymore copies. （錯）

問題是不是又有了？no longer和no more有什麼區別呢？先過年哈，明天再說。

過了十五就過了年，年都過了，還有什麼藉口不學習了呢？
