19. no longer & not…any more不再

異同之處：no longer和not…anymore都表示「不再」，說明某個動作已經結束或者某個狀態已經不存在。no longer用在肯定句中，not…any more構成否定句。

例1：There were no longer enough fish in the sea for the stock to maintain itself. (2016年6月六級)

海裡再也沒有足夠的魚供養自身。

結構分析：本例句是there be句型。no longer enough fish是主語，in the sea是地點狀語，for the stock是狀語，to maintain itself是動詞不定式詞組作後置定語，were是系動詞，there是狀語。

 

例2：The woman doesn’t find the book useful any more. (2014年12月四級)

這個女人再也找不到那本有用的書了。

結構分析：The woman是主語， doesn’t find是謂語（現在一般時），the book useful是賓語（其中useful是後置定語），anymore是狀語。

 

20. once again & once more再次

異同之處：once again和once more在句中作副詞短語，通常用於動詞之後，或者用於句末，同義短語還有one more time。

例1：Why did Donna go back to Brazil once again? (2013年12月六級)

為什麼唐娜再次回到巴西?

 

例2：He has to type his paper once more. (2015年6月四級)

他不得不把論文再列印一次。

短語：one day & some day某天，有一天

異同之處：one day和some day都要可以表示「有一天」，不同的是，one day可指過去或者將來的某一天，既可以用於過去時，也可以用於將來時。some day只指將來的某一天，只用於將來時態。

例1：Finally, one day she got on a plane and went back to Brazil. (2013年12月四級)

 

例2：I am sure this will be a lucrative business some day. (2015年6月四級)
