like和as翻譯成中文「就像，好像，正如」等意思相近，需要加以區別的情況，主要有以下兩種：
01like和as做介詞
它們的主要區別在含義上：
用like是兩者之間一種比喻：

as作為;當作什麼：
As babies, we rely entirely on others for food.

He stayed at the university for two years as a visiting scholar.
他在那大學做了兩年訪問學者。
02like和as做連詞
就像；正如；與……一樣
He acted like (as if) he owned the place.
Nobody can sing like (as) you do.
Like (as) I said, you’re welcome to join us for lunch.
She teaches English at school, like me/I do/as I do.
她和我一樣在學校教英語。
Just do as you're told.
照吩咐的去做。
Flats in large cities are very expensive, as you know.
你知道，大城市的公寓很貴。
As I have said before, you should never have believed what he said.
我以前說過，你不應該相信他說的話。
這是大家無法區別的地方：
在傳統語法中like是不做連詞的，這是持續了上百年的爭議，因此在學術寫作中最好避免。
as後不能只跟名詞！
