We all need to breathe to live.

我們活著都需要呼吸。

And a room is a space in a house or building.

而房間是指房子或建築裡的空間。

A：Have you finished that big project for your class, Anna?

安娜，你們班的那個大項目完成了嗎？

B：No, I haven't. But the professor gave the class two more weeks to finish.

沒有。不過老師多給了我們兩個星期去完成。

So now, I have a little breathing room.

所以現在我有了緩和的餘地。

A：Well, that's a relief. It's always nice to have breathing room.

嗯，那真是鬆了一口氣啊。有緩和餘地總是件好事。

Breathing room has a few meanings.

「Breathing Room」有幾個意思。

It can mean giving someone enough space to relax and move comfortably.

它可以是說給某人足夠的空間來放鬆或自由活動。

But in our example, breathing room refers to relief from a source of pressure or stress.

不過在我們的例子裡，Breathing Room指的是去掉緊張或壓力。

Anna now has more time to complete her project.

現在安娜有更多時間來完成項目了。
