我們身邊總有這麼一群熱衷「抬槓」的人，無論你說什麼，他們都能跟你「槓（argue）」，似乎他們的使命就是給別人添堵（vex， make you feel annoyed）。
「抬槓」，原指用槓子穿過吊環將物體抬起，也叫「抬槓子」。不過現在更常用來比喻「做無謂地爭辯、為了爭論而爭論（argue for the sake of arguing）」。
如：A說了一個合情合理的觀點（reasonable view），而B明知A說的有道理，但就是不接受，非得找出很多歪理（preposterous excuse）與其爭吵，這就是「抬槓」。
網友將這類熱衷「抬槓」的人稱為「槓精（gàng jīng，contrarian）」。
