The requirements of fuel system safety in the event of rear-end collision for passenger car
1 SCOPE
This standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the fuel system in the vehicle rear-end collision events.
This Standard applies to the vehicles of category M1 fitted with tank(s) for liquid fuel. Any other type of vehicle can refer to these.

The following standards contain provisions, which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At time of publication the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below.

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.

車輛型式vehicle type
在下列主要方面沒有差異的同一型式的車輛：
3.1.1 燃油箱的結構、形狀、尺寸、材料；
3.1.2 燃油箱在車輛上的位置；
3.1.3 燃油供給系統（泵、濾油器等）的特性及車輛上的位置；
3.1.4 對本標準所描述的碰撞試驗結巢有影響的電器裝置的特性及在車輛上的位置。

橫向平面transverse plane
與東輛縱向中心平面垂直的橫向平面。

整備質量unladen weight
處於運行狀態的車輛質量，不包括駕駛員、乘客和貨物，但燃油箱加入總容量90%的燃料、冷卻液、潤滑油，並帶有隨車工具和街盼（如果這些由車輛製造廠作為標準裝備提供的）。

4 一般要求
4.1 燃油裝置
4.1.1 燃油箱應符合GB 18296,
4.1.2 燃油裝置各部件應被車身或車架部件適當地保護起來，以防止與地面障礙物發生接觸。若這些部件位於車輛下部，離地高度比在其前部的車身或車架部件離地高度大，可不要求保護。
