實用英語表達：「自然流產」怎麼說
這是一項令人吃驚的結論，但調查結果確實顯示：由於社會壓力和不良生活習慣的影響，我國已婚人群中不孕不育的比例達到了7%至10%，不孕不育的現象呈增長趨勢。專家認為，女性過度晚婚晚育和頻繁人工流產是導致不孕不育以及自然流產的原因之一。

Delaying childbirth until after a woman turns 35 and multiple abortions are often to blame for infertility and miscarriages. In addition, male infertility was also on the rise in China, with sperm counts decreasing from an average 100 million per ml in the 1970s to 40 million per ml today.
報導中的「miscarriage」指的是「自然流產」，也可寫做「spontaneous abortion」。
廣義而言，常用詞彙「abortion」可泛指任何形式的「流產」，但與「miscarriage」相比，「abortion」更側重指「induced abortion」(人工流產/墮胎)。
此外，「miscarriage」常和動詞「have」搭配，如：A high caffeine intake could increase the odds of having a miscarriage.(攝入大量咖啡因可能會增加流產的機率。)或者，這句話也可用「miscarriage」相應的動詞形式「miscarry」來表達，如：Mothers-to-be with a high caffeine intake are more likely to miscarry.
值得一提的是，日常生活中，「miscarriage」常用來形容「(計劃/希望)失敗、落空」;「(案件)誤判」; 「(信件/貨物)誤送、未送達目的地」。看幾個例子：a miscarriage of justice(誤判)、a miscarriage of a plan(計劃落空)、a miscarriage of freight(貨物未送達貨主)。
