「贏得絕對多數；獲得壓倒性勝利」英語怎麼說？
原文：The ruling Minjoo (Democratic) party won an outright majority in the unicameral national assembly.
高齋參考譯文：韓國執政黨共同民主黨（Minjoo party）在國會選舉中獲得絕對多數優勢。
其中win an outright majority是一個固定表達，表示「贏得絕對多數優勢」，如外刊這句：
If her momentum continues, she may even win an outright majority.
如果這種勢頭繼續下去，那麼她甚至可能以絕對多數勝出。
outright也可以換為overwhelming，即an overwhelming majority。
「在……中贏得獲得壓倒性勝利」就可以說win an overwhelming majority in或win sth with an overwhelming majority/in a landslide victory，如外刊上這句：
The Labour Party had just won the general election with an overwhelming majority.
工黨剛剛以絕對多數贏得了大選。
won the general election with an overwhelming majority還可以寫為won the general election in a landslide victory，won the landslide victory in a general election。
注意介詞不要弄錯了。

「延長封鎖期」英語怎麼說？
原文：Migrant workers protested in Mumbai and other Indian cities as the governmentextended the country’s three-week-old lockdown by a further three weeks.
高齋參考譯文：印度政府將為期三周的封鎖令再延長三周，孟買等城市爆發了工人抗議活動。
1. extend在這裡表示「延長時間，延長期限」。
這裡使用了three-week-old，說明封鎖已經持續三周了，現在原來的基礎上再延長三周，所以是extended the country’s three-week-old lockdown by a further three weeks。
也可以用extend的名詞形式extension表示「延長」，比如bbc上是這麼表示「封鎖期延長三周」的：
Ministers are later expected to announce a three-week extension to the coronavirus lockdown.
所以今天這個as the government extended the country’s three-week-old lockdown by a further three weeks也可以改寫為：
as the government announced a three-week extension to the country’s three-week-old lockdown.
注意介詞，extend ... by和... extension to。
2. a further+數字表示「進一步；繼續；再」，如經濟學人在說到蘋果公司股價進一步下滑時就用到了這個表達：
The company’s share price, which had been sliding for months, fell by a further 10% on January 3rd, the day after the news came out.
1月3日，也就是這一消息傳出後第二天，蘋果已持續下滑數月的股價進一步下跌10%。
拓展：
「封鎖還會持續三周」可以說continue for another three weeks，如bbc報導：
Lockdown restrictions in the UK will continue for "at least" another three weeks.
another three weeks還可以說three more weeks。

「東躲西藏」英語怎麼說？
原文：He had been in hiding in India until last month.
高齋參考譯文：他上個月前一直躲在印度。
be in hiding是固定搭配，表示「躲藏；隱藏」之意。
我們常說「某人不得不東躲西藏」就可以用in hiding來表示，比如voa上的這句話：
Gachoka says he and his wife and five children are now in hiding, fearing the worst.
加科卡說，他和他的妻子以及5個孩子目前不得不東躲西藏，擔心發生最壞的情況。
「勸某人先躲一躲」可以說advise sb to get into hiding for a while，如：
They advised her to go into hiding for a while.
他們勸她先躲藏一下。
「藏身之處」可以說hiding place，如：
They flushed them out of their hiding places.
他們把他們從藏身之處趕了出來。
還有一組類似的表達是decline和be in decline（在下降）。經濟學人在表示「高薪藍領工人數量減少」時就用到了in decline這個短語，即：
But high-paying blue-collar jobs have been in decline since then.
但從那時起，高薪藍領工人一直在減少。
注意hide和in hiding一般不互換，前者表示臨時的躲藏，比如躲貓貓hide and seek。

「頭號通緝犯」和「逍遙法外」英語怎麼說？
原文：A group including American anti-drug agents and Interpol arrested one of Brazil’s most wanted suspected criminals, Gilberto Aparecido dos Santos, in Maputo, Mozambique’s capital. He allegedly trafficked cocaine worldwide as a leader of First Command of the Capital, a gang based in So Paulo, and evaded capture for 20 years.
高齋參考譯文：美國緝毒人員、國際刑警組織等一起參與了此次抓捕行動，在莫三比克首都馬普託逮捕了巴西頭號通緝犯吉爾貝託·阿帕雷西多·多斯桑託斯（Gilberto Aparecido dos Santo）。此人是巴西黑幫「首都第一司令部」（First Command of the Capital）（總部設在聖保羅）的一個重要人物，在全球販賣了大量古柯鹼，潛逃在外達20年之久。
1. most wanted suspected criminals：頭號通緝犯；通緝要犯。「頭號通緝犯」也可以說the most wanted man/fugitive。其中fugitive表示逃亡者，尤指逃犯。
「某人是頭號通緝犯」也可以說某人在要犯名單（most wanted list）上，即be listed on ...’s most wanted list，或者be fugitive suspects on ...’s most wanted list。
如經濟學人上有句話是這麼說的：
After 1998, he was listed on the FBI's most wanted list, a $5m bounty on his head.
1998年後，美國聯邦調查局把他列入要犯名單，並懸賞500萬美元要他的人頭。
還比如外刊上這句：
They are fugitive suspects on Taiwan's most wanted list.
他們已被列為臺灣頭號通緝犯。
2. evaded capture：逍遙法外；在逃；躲避追捕；未被抓獲。如外刊在表示「未被抓獲」之意時就用到了這個表達，原句是這麼說的：
The authors of the declarations are mostly based in Beijing and have so far evaded capture.
這份宣言的作者大多都在北京，至今未被抓獲。
「逍遙法外」也可以說escape justice，比如外刊上這句話：
The perpetrators will not escape justice.
兇手不會逍遙法外。
經濟學人上在表達「逍遙法外」時還用到了remain at large這個短語，它是這麼說的：
Most remain at large.
大部分現在仍逍遙法外。

「休養；療養」英語怎麼說？
原文：The British prime minister is convalescing at Chequers, an official residence.
高齋參考譯文：鮑裡斯目前正在首相鄉間官邸契克斯莊園（Chequers）休養。
convalesce讀作[kɑnvles]，表示「休養；療養；病後康復」之意。
外刊是這麼說的：
Mr. Johnson, who spent three nights in intensive care at St. Thomas』 Hospital in London, will convalesce for some time at Chequers, the prime minister’s country house.
convalesce for some time意思就是「療養一段時間」。
convalescing也可以具體說recovering from coronavirus/Covid-19，比如這句：
Boris Johnson, who is currently recovering from coronavirus at the country retreat, has his sights on returning before May 11 when the extended lockdown is due to end.
例句中has his sights on是固定表達，表示關注，希望，has his sights on returning before May 11 when the extended lockdown is due to end表示希望5月11前能返回工作，屆時英國封鎖也將結束。
the extended lockdown同樣表示「封鎖期延長」。
前面出現的an official residence，the prime minister’s country house，the country retreat是同義表達，都是對契克斯莊園（Chequers）的進一步說明。
所以今天這句The British prime minister is convalescing at Chequers, an official residence也可以改寫為：
Boris Johnson is currently recovering from coronavirus at Chequers, the prime minister’s country retreat.
