那麼，我們今天就來看一下other、another相關的考點區分辨析及這兩個詞的所有用法詳解。
我們先來講一下這兩個詞的所有中考相關考點，區別就迎刃而解了。
一、other用法:
初中階段other需要掌握的用法都在上面的思維導圖中，下面我們來具體講解一下：
(一） 、兩者中的另外一個：
可以四種形式呈現,在同一語言環境中，前三種意思完全相同。
1、the other: other 為代詞
I have two bags. One is new, the other is old.（直接給出前提：two）
我有兩個包，一個是新的，另一個是舊的。
常見結構：one…the other
2、the other one：other 為形容詞
I have two bags. One is new, the other one is old.
one 代替前面的bag
3、the other+ n.單數：other 為形容詞
There are many trees on the other side of the road.（隱含前提：路有兩邊）
在路的另一邊有許多樹。
4、 sb's (名詞所有格或形容詞性物主代詞)+other+n.單數 : 注意前提還是兩者之中的另一個。
當 other 前面出現名詞所有格或形容性物主代詞作為限定詞時，the 不再出現， 二者用 其一即可，不要畫蛇添足。

（二）、多者中的其他：
1、others=other +n. 複數：不固定範圍的其他人或物
記憶技巧：當指複數概念時，other 沒有s 的時候，少了點東西，怎麼辦，就得在後面加上名詞。簡單說成一句話：other指複數，無s加n常見結構：some…others…如：We should help others.=We should help other people.我們應該幫助別人。（沒有固定範圍）Some people like travelling by plane, others like travelling by train.一些人喜歡坐飛機旅行，其他人喜歡坐火車旅行。
2、the others= the other +n.複數：固定範圍內的其他人或物
There are fifty students in my class . Thirty students go to school by bus, the others(the other students)go to school by car.我班有50名學生，30名學生坐公交車上學，其他的坐私家車上學。（有固定範圍：in my class）
3、sb's (名詞所有格或形容詞性物主代詞)+other+n.複數
my other friends
Lucy's other shoes
4、數詞+other+n.複數
John, Jim and three other students are absent today.
約翰、吉姆其他三名學生今天缺席。
5、some/many other +n.複數
I have some other good ways.Two buildings were destroyed and many others(other buildings) were damaged in the blast.在這次爆炸事件中，兩座建築物被毀，許多其他的建築物被損壞。
6、any other+n.複數：
這裡的any是 some的否定和疑問形式，意思是：一些其他的……
Do you have any other good ideas?
你還有其他的好主意嗎？
Sorry, I don't have any other ideas.
對不起，我沒有其他的好主意了。
7、any other+n.單數=the other +n.複數：
這裡的any不是一些的意思，而是任何一個，所以後面的名詞用單數，這種用法用在肯定句中，在比較級的句子中常用。
I am taller than any other girl in my class.=I am taller than the other girls in my class.我比我班的其他女孩都高。
二、another用法:
（一）、 又一、再一、多者中的另外一個：沒有二者前提或隱含條件。
another=another one=another +n.單數=one more
Would you like another drink（one）?
＝Would you like one more drink?
還想再來一杯嗎？
解析：原來喝了一杯，在原來的基礎上再來一杯，沒有固定一定是兩杯，只強調再來一杯，有可能還會有第三杯，所以不能用other。
（二）、one another=each other 彼此，互相
We often help one another.
我們經常互相幫助。
（三）、another+數詞+n.(複數)=數詞+more +n.複數 : 另外/還有……個……
I have another three questions.
=I have three morequestions.
我還有三個問題。
The work is too difficult. We need another fiveworkers.
=The work is too difficult. We need fivemore workers.
這個工作太難了，我們還需要五個工人。

三、辨析一: other、another
關鍵詞：二者還是多者常見考試形式：1、隱含「二者」前提：
In my other hand, there is an apple.
在我的另外一隻手裡，有一個蘋果。
2、直接給出「二者」前提：
I have two sisters. One is a worker, the other is a teacher.
我有兩個姐姐，一個是工人，另外一個是老師。
3、表示建議的句子或購物：
Would you like another apple?
你想再來一個蘋果嗎？
This shirt is too big, could you show me another smaller one?
這件襯衫太大了，給我看一件小點的好嗎？
4、無二者範圍的單純強調「又一、再一」：
Success means you are able to go from one failure to another without losing your passion for the things you love.成功就是你能夠克服一個又一個的失敗卻不失去你對你所愛的事物的熱情。（沒有確定failure就是兩個）
四、辨析二：others, other + n複數, the others, the other +n.複數
1、是否固定範圍：固定加the2、other是否有s：後無名詞加sSome of the students in No. 69 Middle School are interested in science, and ________ are interested in English.A. the other student B. others C. the others D. other students解題思路：1、有in No. 69 Middle School,固定範圍，選有the的，A和C2、 other有s不用加名詞，答案C正確3、 答案A中指兩者中的另外一個學生，是單數，不能選綜合以上三點，選擇C
