The Lunar New Year is right around the corner, tomorrow, as a matter of fact, a time of celebration, renewal and most importantly, of new opportunities.
Lunar New year Eve is today, Thursday the 11th, and is very important for Chinese people, as much as the day itself. Usually celebrated with a large meal with family and friends and watching the Spring Festival Gala!
And tomorrow, on the 12th, would normally go out, celebrate and greet one another. This is when the real CNY would kick in.
However due to Covid-19, an online greeting is a lot healthier and works just as well, maybe not the new norm, but for now, it's a good idea.
So please don't forget to send a "Happy Chinese New Year" message to your friends. Here is the Chinese to use if you want to surprise your Chinese friends with your verbosity.
"過年好,祝您牛年大吉"(Happy Year of the Ox! )
