倫敦時間4月5日晚上8時（北京時間6日凌晨5時），現年93歲的英國女王伊莉莎白二世就新冠疫情發表的特別演講視頻在全英播出。下邊是英國女王演講全稿（中英文對照）：
美好日子必將到來，成功屬於每個人
I am speaking to you at what I know is an increasinglychallenging time.
我跟你交談的此刻，正是我們面臨日益艱巨挑戰的時期。
A time of disruption in the life of our country: adisruption that has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to many, andenormous changes to the daily lives of us all.
我們國家的正常生活被打亂：我們哀悼不幸、很多人面臨財務困境、我們的生活方式被嚴重打亂。
I want to thank everyone on the NHS front line, as well ascare workers and those carrying out essential roles, who selflessly continuetheir day-to-day duties outside the home in support of us all.
我要感謝NHS醫療前線的每個人，以及護理人員和承擔重要職責的每個人，他們無私地離開自己的家人，堅持日常工作，以支持我們所有人。
I am sure the nation will join me in assuring you that whatyou do is appreciated and every hour of your hard work brings us closer to areturn to more normal times.
我敢肯定，整個國家將與我一起向您保證，您所做的一切都會受到讚賞，並且您的每一小時辛勤工作使我們更接近回到更加正常的時期。
I also want to thank those of you who are staying at home,thereby helping to protect the vulnerable and sparing many families the painalready felt by those who have lost loved ones.

Together we are tackling this disease, and I want toreassure you that if we remain united and resolute, then we will overcome it.

I hope in the years to come everyone will be able to takepride in how they responded to this challenge.

And those who come after us will say the Britons of thisgeneration were as strong as any. That the attributes of self-discipline, ofquiet good-humoured resolve and of fellow-feeling still characterise thiscountry.

The pride in who we are is not a part of our past, itdefines our present and our future.

The moments when theUnited Kingdom has come together to applaud its care and essential workers willbe remembered as an expression of our national spirit; and its symbol will bethe rainbows drawn by children.

Across the Commonwealth and around the world, we have seenheart-warming stories of people coming together to help others, be it throughdelivering food parcels and medicines, checking on neighbours, or convertingbusinesses to help the relief effort.
遍及大英國協及世界各地，我們見證著感人至深的故事，人們齊心協力一起幫助他人，無論是通過運送食品和藥品，關心鄰居，還是確保企業正常運行，降低疫情的次生災害。
And though self-isolating may at times be hard, many peopleof all faiths, and of none, are discovering that it presents an opportunity toslow down, pause and reflect, in prayer or meditation.
儘管在禁足居家隔離期間會有各種困難，但無論信仰如何，甚至對於沒有信仰的人，都會發現這是一次機會，讓我們可以靜心禱告或冥想，放慢節奏、暫停片刻、冷靜反思。
It reminds me of the very first broadcast I made, in 1940,helped by my sister.
這讓我想起了我在1940年在我妹妹的幫助下，進行的第一次電視講話。
We, as children, spoke from here at Windsor to children whohad been evacuated from their homes and sent away for their own safety.
我們當時還是孩子，同樣在溫莎城堡，向全國各地(為了躲避戰機轟炸)而被迫離開自己家庭到安全的地方暫避的孩子們發表講話。
Today, once again, many will feel a painful sense ofseparation from their loved ones. But now, as then, we know, deep down, that itis the right thing to do.
今天，許多人再次感受到(禁足隔離期間)與親朋好友們暫別的傷楚。但是現在，就像當時，我們內心深深地知道，這是正確的做法。
While we have faced challenges before, this one isdifferent.
雖然我們曾經面臨挑戰，但這次是不同的。
This time we join with all nations across the globe in acommon endeavour, using the great advances of science and our instinctivecompassion to heal.
這次，我們有來自全世界各國的共同努力、依託先進的科學技術，和人類本能的同情心和自愈力。
We will succeed - and that success will belong to every oneof us.
我們必將成功，而且這個成功將屬於我們每一個人。
We should take comfort that while we may have more still toendure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will bewith our families again; we will meet again.
我們應該感到安慰的是，儘管我們可能還要忍受更多的苦難，但是美好的日子必將到來：我們將再次和朋友歡聚；我們將和家人們團聚；我們將會再次相聚。

英國女王：全球唯一經歷二戰仍健在的國家元首
英國女王在位68年一生經歷過無數的大風大浪，今年94歲高齡，是全球唯一參與過二戰仍健在的國家元首，是英國在位時間最長的君主。
在女王執政期間，英國先後經歷了14位首相。除了現任的首相鮑裡斯·詹森，自1952年登基以來，英國女王伊莉莎白二世已經與13位不同的首相共事過，有如父親般的邱吉爾、也有針鋒對麥芒的柴契爾夫人。
英國女王已經對全球116個國家進行過訪問，正如她自己所承諾的，將永遠與大英國協的人民在一起，將自己的一生獻給大英國協。
