Down in the big construction site,

The tough trucks work with all their might

To build a building, make a road,

To get the job done--load by load!

這是一個熱火朝天的工地現場，工程車們甩著胳膊幹著活，蓋大高樓，修大馬路，反正就是給你把活幹好，幹漂亮！

The sun has set, the work is done;

It's time for trucks to end their fun.

So one by one they'll go to bed

To yawn and rest their sleepy heads,

Then wake up to another day

Of rough-and-tough construction play!

夕陽西下，工程車們結束了辛勞一天的工作，正是要回去休息的時候了。於是他們一個個兒地打著哈欠準備上床睡覺了，然後養足精神，明天繼續加勁兒地幹！（接下來咱們一個一個地來看看）

【吊車】

Working hard to help his team,

Crane Truck raises one last beam.

Reaching, stretching, lifting high,

He swings the beam into the sky.

He'll set it down right on its mark,

Then off to bed; it's almost dark.

吊車可是工程車隊裡的小骨幹。他吊起最後一根梁，高高舉起輕輕落下，蕩在空中，並準確地落在標記位置上。

He slowly folds his boom back in,

And then with one last sleepy grin,

He tucks himself in nice and tight (sigh!),

Then cuddles up and says goodnight.

他慢慢收攏起吊杆，微微一笑，舒服地蜷起身子，（抱著小貓，勾著小星星）自言自語著晚安。

Shhh...goodnight, Crane Truck, goodnight.

噓~晚安了，吊車，晚安。

【水泥車】

Spinning, churning all day long,

Cement Mixer sings his whirly song.

Now (yawn!) he's weary and so dizzy,

From the fun that keeps him busy.

水泥車這一天轉啊轉，拌啊拌，哼著小曲兒。整整忙碌了一天，現在他已經又困又乏了（打了個大呵欠）。

With one last spin, he pours the load,

He's ready now to leave the road.

那麼最後再轉一轉，倒出所有水泥，準備下班！

He takes a bath, gets shiny-bright,

Pulls up his chute, turns off his light.

He cuts his engine, slows his drum,

And dreams sweet dreams of twirly fun.

睡前衝了個神清氣爽的澡，收起他的水泥槽，關上了車燈，關閉了引擎，慢慢停止轉筒，開始做起旋轉的美夢來。

Shh...goodnight, Cement Mixer, goodnight.

噓~晚安了，水泥車，晚安。

【翻鬥車】

Dump Truck loves to work and haul.

He carries loads both big...and small,

He moves the dirt from place to place,

Then dumps it with a happy face.

翻鬥車就愛幹運輸的活兒。他能扛起巨重的渣土，也能運走一丁點大的小石頭兒。他把渣土從一處運至另一處，然後快快樂樂地把他們倒出來。

One final load spills on the heap(crrrunch!);

Now Dump Truck's tired and wants to sleep.

站在小山樣的土堆上，翻鬥車完成最後一倒（譁啦啦！），現在呢，翻鬥車累了該睡覺了。

He lowers his bed, locks his gate,

Rests his wheels; it's getting late.

He dims his lights, then shuts his doors,

And soon his engine slows to snores.

他低下身來，關上門，放鬆放鬆輪子，天色很晚了。調暗燈光，鎖好車，不一會就進入沉沉的夢香打起呼嚕來了。

Shh...goodnight, Dump Truck, goodnight.

噓~晚安了，翻鬥車，晚安。

HEY! PIPE DOWN!

（隔壁大叔被吵得直嚷嚷：喂，小點聲收工了！）

【推土車】

Pushing with his mighty blade,

Bulldozer works to smooth the grade.

He clears the way to level ground,

And fills the air with thunderous sound (rooaaar!).

推土車推著他有力的鏟子，把地面推平，清理出道路，發出轟隆隆的怒吼聲（嗷！）。（純爺們兒啊）

No one's as tough and strong as he,

But now he's sleepy as can be.

沒人比他更Man了，然而現在他可是困極了。

He puffs some smoke out of his stack,

Turns off his engine, stop his track.

He curls into his soft dirt bed

And dreams of busy days ahead.

他冒出一縷煙，退出土堆，關閉引擎，停止前進，蜷縮進他柔軟的土床裡，開始做起忙碌的夢來。

Shh...goodnight, Bulldozer, goodnight,

噓~晚安了，推土車，晚安。

【挖掘車】

Scooping gravel, dirt, and sand,

Excavator shapes the land.

He digs and lifts throughout the day (arrgh!),

But now it's time to end his play.

挖掘車挖出石頭、土、沙子，給地面修整成一塊塊地。這一整天他都在挖挖挖，可是現在他該停一停了。

A few more holes to dig and soon

He'll roll to bed beneath the moon.

再挖那麼幾個洞，他就要上床睡覺，沐浴在月光之下了。

He twirls upon his bumpy track,

Pulls up his boom, stretches his back.

He sets his scoop down on the ground

And snuggles up without a sound.

他在坑坑窪窪的路上轉了個身，拉起挖掘杆，伸了伸懶腰，把挖掘鏟搭地上，然後就偎在那裡不出聲兒了。

Shh...goodnight, Excavator, goodnight.

噓~晚安了，挖掘車，晚安。

These big, big trucks, so tough and loud,

They work so hard, so rough, and proud.

Tomorrow is another day,

Another chance to work and play.

這些個大個子們，硬漢們，大嗓門兒們，他們勤奮地工作，艱苦卻自豪。明天又是新的一天了，明兒接著幹接著嗨！

Turn off your engines, step your tracks,

Relax your wheels, your stacks, and backs.

No  more huffing and puffing, team;

It's time to rest your heads and dream.

關上引擎吧，停下腳步吧，放鬆肌肉吧，工程車小夥伴們，咱們緩一緩，是時候該休整你們的大腦做個好夢了。

Construction site, all tucked in tight.

The day is done, turn off the light.

空況的工地，都進入夢鄉，一天結束了，燈光熄滅了。

Great work today! Now...shh...goodnight.

今天幹的真棒！現在嘛。。。噓~~晚~安~
