sleep together 發生性關係
sleep together的意思是發生性關係，類似表達還有 had a sexual relationship.
這個表達只用於還沒有結婚的兩個人，所以 sleep together 一般指婚前性行為或通姦。
In fact,the couple slept together before they got married.
事實上，這對夫妻在結婚前就上過床了。
share the same room 一起睡
如果僅僅是和同性朋友住同一間房，什麼都沒發生過，我們應該翻譯為 share the same room 或spend the night together.
總而言之，sleep together一定要慎用，說錯了絕對會讓人尷尬到臉紅。

apart 是空間或時間上相隔的意思，所以分開睡直接用 sleep apart.

separate beds 分床睡
separate rooms 分房睡
separate是分開的意思，分床睡的英文是 separate beds，分房睡直接說separate rooms 就行了。
His parents slept apart for a week because of a terrible quarrel.
因為一次激烈的爭吵，他的父母分開睡了一個禮拜。
together 是一起，但 throw together 的意思並不是一起扔出去，而是匆匆準備的意思。

put sb to sleep 使人入睡（可指用藥物麻醉）
put sth to sleep 用藥物使長眠；（動物）安樂死
Put sb to sleep 確實有哄人入睡的意思，但是很多時候 put sb to sleep是使用麻醉劑等藥物讓人睡著的意思，所以我們一定要注意使用的場合。
如果put後接的賓語是動物的話，一般是指給受傷或生重病的動物安樂死。
Doctors put these patients to sleep before the surgical operation.
外科手術前，醫生們把這些病人都麻醉入睡了。
lose sleep over 為……擔心而睡不著覺；非常擔心
sleep是睡眠，但lose sleep over可不是失眠的意思，而是說因為擔心而睡不著，這個表達強調的是擔心，而不是失眠。
老外對你說 do not lose sleep over，也就是叫你放輕鬆，意思和do not worry about it是一樣的。
Don t lose sleep over that problem,we will solve it sooner or later.
