  《生活大爆炸》裡Penny 工作的芝士蛋糕店,來到北京了!這是一家擁有四十餘年歷史,  二百餘家北美分店和二十多家海外分店的大公司---芝樂坊 。

    在這裡,你會對朋友說:「快嘗嘗這個」!

     今天來到《悅生活》(播出時間見文末)的是芝樂坊北京分店總經理Mr. Anthony Herold。聽他告訴你愛芝士蛋糕的芝樂坊故事吧?

For over 40 years this American restaurant chain has been serving authentic dishes from all around the United States along with the dreamiest cheese cakes.

It has 200 locations in North America and 20 locations around the world and it is now also in China!

It flies delicious beautiful cheese cakes made according to secret recipes from a secret factory in the United States to all of its branches.

Oh, and yes, it’s where Penny from the Big Bang Theory works.

Our guest today is Mr. Anthony Herold, General Manager of The Cheesecake Factory Beijing, who is here to tell us about cheesecake happiness and the recipe for success.

When talking about comfort food there is no doubt about it, cheese cake is up there at the top of the pyramid alongside ice cream and French fries, it’s a pick-me-up food, but with The Cheesecake Factory it’s much more than that, it’s a journey across the United States capturing local flavors and ingredients and telling the story of America in the past half a century.

The Cheesecake Factory cheese cakes are so famous that world class brands are eager to collaborate with them.

In chocolate for instance luxury brand Godiva as well as convenient store Sneakers Bar have all been given a chance to shine on the cheese cake stage.

But some people never heard of The Cheesecake Factory, until a popular American sitcom went viral.

As the brand expands around the world it is interesting to see how the definitions of home style cooking or family meal are not so different between places and people.

Though The Cheesecake Factory』s extensive menu focuses on all time American favorites, experience proved that non-American diners are guaranteed to take one bite and fall in love.

The menu, just like the cheese cakes, collects flavors from all around the United States.

From tamales to Cobb salad, all states, generations and ethnic groups are represented.

It is a chance for international diners to sample American culinary.

In 2016 The Cheesecake Factory landed in mainland China.

Its first location allowed it to blend perfectly into its environment and feel right at home between 「Wild West Main Street」 and 「Space Mountain」 in the Americana of Shanghai Disneytown.

 

For the Beijing location however, they chose to stand alone and stand out, in a brand new stylish shopping center in one of the city’s oldest commercial hubs.

An old new brand in an old new location in Beijing, a chance to introduce nostalgia to a brand new audience.

For some diners it is new but some come to look for old familiar flavors, what will they find? 

Will it be exactly the same like The Cheesecake Factory near your college back home or that branch in the mall you went to after shopping for your prom dress?

Anthony says yes!

So what makes a cheese cake perfect?

According to Anthony, it is not just the recipe or the ingredients, it is also the people who handle it and the way it is handled.

Cheesecakes need to be loved.

As The Cheesecake Factory was getting ready for its China debut skeptics where…. Well… skeptical.

Some said Asian diners don’t like dairy, some said Asian diners don’t like sweet, but reality proved once again that we are all more the same than different.

We all love to sit around a big table full of good food, we all like our family around it and we all have the habit when we taste something delicious take a forkful, turn to the person next to us and say: 「you have to try this.」

Other than serving good food The Cheesecake Factory also likes to celebrate.

Celebrate what? Well, just about anything.

Celebrate international cheesecake day, celebrate the world cup and even celebrate your birthday with a cheesecake coming all the way to your home.
