WINTER ACTION
2020年是極其特別的一年，其獨特性註定能夠載入史冊，人類迎來了一場前所未有的寒冬，新冠病毒的肆虐與瘋狂幾乎遍布了整個世界，人們被迫放緩了腳步，或堅守崗位，或居於家中，在這場全球性的寒冬裡每個人都會留下獨特的回憶。在新的一年即將來臨之際，由於寒潮的影響，被稱之為21世紀以來最冷的冬季又來勢洶洶，讓處在北方的人們也體驗到了物理上的寒冬。即使是這樣一個寒冷的冬季，人們也沒有停止追逐希望的曙光，因為大家都會相信，不管是多麼寒冷的冬天，它總會過去，而接下來的必定是春暖花開。2020 is a very special year, its uniqueness is bound to go down in history, humans ushered in an unprecedented winter. The coronavirus spread almost all over the world. People are forced to slow the pace, stay away from crowds or stay at home. In the global winter, everyone will leave unique memories.
As the New Year approaches, the coldest winter in the 21st century is coming, bringing a physical chill to people in the north. Even in such a cold winter, people did not stop chasing the dawn of hope, because everyone would believe that, no matter how cold the winter, it will always pass, and the next is bound to spring.

《兩個人之自畫像》

整個作品分為三個設計過的冬日室外空間，用「兩個人」的行為藝術形式去表現「我」對於感情的卑微與糾結，以及對於自身的情感認同的問題，其實我們很難做到「像太陽那樣，愛東邊的人，也愛西邊的人」，我們的愛往往是自私的，往往是卑微的，但我們依舊想擁抱，依舊想擁有愛，選自後現代舞臺劇《兩個人》，隸屬於「兩個人」系列作品。
The whole work is divided into three design of winter outdoor space, with "two people" behavior art form to show "I" for the feelings of the humble and struggle, and to their own emotional identification problem, actually it is very difficult to do "Like the sun, love the east people, and the west", our love is selfish, tend to be low, but we still want to hug, still want to have love. Selected from the post-modern stage play "TWO MEN", belonging to the "TWO MEN" series of works.

《滾雪球》

對於從小就生活在東北的我來說，玩兒雪幾乎是每個冬天必備的儀式。每年的第一場雪都會讓我興奮地跑跑跳跳，對於不愛勞動的我，反而特別的喜歡掃雪。還有小時候我記得自己做過一個夢，「夢見自己去滾一個雪球，一個碩大的雪球，我踩在上面奔跑，越奔跑雪球越大，直到望不到盡頭…」
後來我已經記不清從哪年開始，對這種司空見慣的北方自然現象沒了玩耍的興致。直至疫情到來的春天，雪還未化，我所居住的小區後院，從未見到人走過，那個畫面讓我想起小時候的夢。於是我想去驗證一下，沿著冰面一直滾雪球，雪球可以滾多大。出乎意料之外的是，脆弱的冰面不能承載雪球的重量而崩塌。
For me, who grew up in Northeast China, playing with snow is almost a ritual every winter. Every year the first snow will let me run and jump excitedly. For me, I do not love labor, but especially like cleaning up the snow. When I was a child, I remembered having a dream, "dream I go to roll a snowball, a huge snowball, I stepped on the top of the running, the bigger snowball, until I could not see the end..."
I can't remember exactly when I started to lose interest in this common northern natural phenomenon. Until the epidemic outbreak came in the spring, the snow had not melted. I live in the community backyard, and have never seen people walk. That reminds me of my childhood dream. So I wanted to see how big a snowball could roll all the way down the ice. Unexpectedly, the fragile ice could not bear the weight of a snowball to collapse.

冬日有什麼獨特的語言呢？
我想，哈氣應該是一種吧。到了冬天，在室外呼吸，就會產生霧蒙蒙的哈氣。呼出的哈氣就代表了你對生活的理解：不同的人在冬季會有不同的心境，這看似簡單的哈氣中，嘆息而出，或是玩鬧吹出；短促急切，或是悠長緩慢，皆可看出一個人的狀態、生活、情緒。這些就組成了對生活的理解。
我們與冬季最直接的對話，就是在寒冷的空氣中，呼出的哈氣了吧。當今的世界正處於微妙的狀態中，英國再次將城市封鎖，國內疫情又開始小範圍散發，美國的數字增長依舊觸目驚心。親人們再次被迫分割，朋友們也無法相聚，旅行計劃也許又被擱置。人們都戴上了口罩，極力避免與他人和外界空氣的接觸。但我們呼出的氣息，每個人的哈氣，都會融入空氣中，其實某種意義上，又把人們聯結在了一起。如若不能當面問安，那麼也要「隔空問候」。通過這一口哈氣，我與你們每個人相連，每個人也與我共為一體。冬日裡還有與我們共同呼吸的其他事物，比如清晨街邊的早餐鋪，一層層的蒸籠不停往外噴散的白色蒸汽；或者排風煙囪，伴隨著機器嗡嗡的運行聲，往外冒的熱氣；再或者街上四處散落的井蓋，有那麼一兩隻，在往外吐著白氣，至今我也沒弄明白它們從何而來。
What is the unique language of winter? I think breath should be one of them. In winter, breathing outside will produce a hazy breath. Exhalation represents your understanding of life: different people will have different moods in winter, this seemingly simple exhalation, sigh out, or play blowing out; short and urgent, or long and slow, can be seen a person's state, life, mood. These constitute the understanding of life.
The most direct conversation we have with winter is the breath we exhale in the cold air. The world is in a delicate state. Britain is closing its cities again, the epidemic is spreading again in small pockets, and American patients' numbers are still growing spectacularly. Families are divided again, friends can't get together, and travel plans may be put on hold. People were wearing face masks to avoid contact with others. Through the breath, I am connected to each of you and each of you becomes one with me.There are other things that breathe with us in winter, like the morning breakfasts in the street, the white steam pouring from the layers of the steamer; or the exhaust chimney, with the hum of the machine running, the hot air coming out; or there were manhole covers scattered all over the street, one or two of which were exhaling white air, and I still haven't figured out where they came from.

山西太原人，英國肯特大學藝術史專業在讀博士，研究生畢業於同所學校，策展學專業。現在的研究方向為20世紀中國當代藝術展覽與社會公眾的關係。

Born in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Studying for a PhD in Art History at the University of Kent. Graduated from the same school with a master's degree in Curation. Current research direction is the relationship between Chinese contemporary art exhibitions in the 20th century and the public.

這個行為是有關對我一天工作的總結和反思，通過對全部在場的繪畫剩餘材料的收集，並放置在工作室門口，無意間凍成一個類似冰壺的物體，於是這種對剩餘物正式的總結成為了夜晚和朋友一同進行的冰壺遊戲。
This performance art is about the summary and reflection of my daily work. By collecting all the remaining painting materials on the spot and placing them outdoors of my studio, they inadvertently froze into an object similar to a curling ball. Thus, the formal summary of the remaining material became the curling game I played with my friends at night.

《帶奶奶逃離一次原故鄉》

每個人都會老，這種感覺對於年輕人來說好像還很遙遠，在當下社會，我們始終無法體會年老時的身體限制，我們的社會也一直缺乏對老人的共情。
在這個特別的2020年的冬日裡，在這次行為中我扮演了我自己的奶奶，通過人為幹涉與道具來模擬老年人的身體限制，從安徽省宣城市宣州區水陽鎮到上海317km的路程裡，體驗並記錄了老人出行方面遇到的衝突與矛盾，進而呼籲大家關注老年人！
The feeling that everyone is going to be old seems so far away to young people. In our society, we are still unable to experience the physical limitations of old age, and our society has been lacking in empathy for the elderly.
In this particular winter of 2020, in this performance I played my grandmother, through human intervention and props to simulate the physical limits of old people, from Xuanzhou city, Anhui province area, 317 km to Shanghai, experience and record the old man travel aspects of conflict and contradiction, and call for attention to the old people!

每個人都有自己最具獨特且內在不為人知的一面。大家都在努力成為一個「普通人」，但時不時也會不小心暴露出自己內心的缺失。雖然每個人都不一樣，但是在同理心下，人都是相互取暖。看到對方和自己一樣，有著那些不精彩的獨特，我們才逐漸褪去「普通人」的包裝，開始展現真實的自己。冬日雪山的寂靜讓站在自己孤島的我們相互暴露出自己最脆弱的一面，敢於把不完美而又獨特的自己呈現給生活，這些不普遍也將轉化為一種存在的力量。
Everyone has their own unique and hidden side. We all strive to be "normal," but sometimes we accidentally reveal our inner differences. Everyone is different, but with empathy, we are all warming each other. With the silence of the snow-covered mountains in winter, standing on our own island, expose our most vulnerable side to each other and dare to present our imperfect and unique selves to life. These imperfections will also be transformed into a power of existence.
