不同於其他超級英雄，蝙蝠俠是一個孤獨而特立的存在。他因為仇恨而誕生，卻又率先放下了自己的仇恨。他渴望一份純真的愛情，卻無法在摯愛面前吐露心聲，只能扮演令她厭惡的角色，然後裝作滿不在意的目送她離去。尼採曾說：當你凝視著深淵的時候，深淵也在凝視著你。他穿上蝙蝠衣，化身黑暗騎士，目睹過無數次的黎明。然而當陽光照在他身上的那一剎那，他會不會嘆息一聲「天下之大，無處容身」呢？
如果仔細看過漫畫，就會發現蝙蝠俠裡的很多角色身上都帶有這種矛盾與掙扎的意味。比如小丑、企鵝人、雙面人等等。其中小丑是我認為最有代表性的一個。我曾看過一篇文章，說他是純粹的惡，所以他厭惡蝙蝠俠身上雜糅的黑暗般的正義。但我覺得他是因為嗅到了蝙蝠俠身上和他相似的氣味——在痛苦裡掙扎的可憐人。小丑曾在不同場合談及自己嘴上標誌性疤痕的來歷，一說是他父親喝醉酒用刀片割傷了他，又說是自己被女友拋棄後自殘的後果。無論哪個，都從側面反映了他悽慘的童年生活，而這不正是蝙蝠俠所經歷的嗎。只不過，小丑選擇了毀滅一切，而蝙蝠俠選擇了拯救一切。
Different from other superheroes, Batman is a lonely but outstanding. He was born because of hatred, but the first to put down it. He longed for a pure love, but cannot reveal his heart, just playing a role she disgusted, pretending to look at her indifferently. If you have carefully read the comic, you will find a lot of roles having the meaning of contradictory and struggle, such as clown, penguin, double man and so on. Clown is one of the most representative characters in my opinion. I have seen an article saying that he was purely evil, so he disliked Batman's mixed justice like darkness. But from my standpoint, the real reason is that he saw his own shadow --- poor people struggling in the pain. Clown had talked about the origin of the iconic scar on his mouth on two different occasions. One was that his father was drunk and cut him with a knife, the other was a consequence of self-mutilation after he was abandoned by his girlfriend. Both of them reflect his miserable childhood life, and isn’t these what Batman has ever experienced? Nevertheless, the clown chose to destroy everything, but Batman chose to save everything.
