昨天，小熊在搬東西的時候，對小C說："I need a hand." 小C一臉驚恐的看著小熊。
I need a hand. 直譯是「我需要一隻手」（聽起來確實很驚悚），但實際上是指「我需要幫忙」，所以可以翻譯為「我需要援手」。
在平時，請求別人幫忙時，很多人常用 Can you help me, please? 這太千篇一律了，我們還可以用：
● Give me a hand, please.
● Would you lend me a hand?
例句：
● I need a hand to deal with the research paper. I can't do it alone.
我需要幫手處理這份研究報告，我一個人做不來。
● This chest is so heavy. Mike, give me a hand, please.
這個箱子真重。麥克，請幫幫忙吧。
● Jack, my computer doesn't work. Would you please lend me a hand with this?
傑克，我的電腦出問題了，麻煩你能幫我一下嗎？
