Avoid strenuous exercise in the evening.

Strenuous efforts had been made to improve conditions in the jail.

indifferent /ɪnˈdɪfrənt/ CET4 TEM4
If you accuse someone of being indifferent to something, you mean that they have a complete lack of interest in it. 漠不關心的
