Leroy Lee，出生於馬來西亞一個叫吉打的小城市，從八歲便開始了他的鋼琴學習生涯。他童年的大部分時間都沉浸在古典音樂中。當他的第一位鋼琴老師讓他發現了流行音樂的美妙之處後，從此激發了他對流行音樂的熱愛。
憑著對流行音樂的熱愛，Leroy考上了當地著名UCSI大學的現代音樂系，攻讀現代音樂學士學位，主修現代鋼琴演奏。在現代音樂裡不應該只專注學習一種樂器，而是要學習多種樂器中的元素，這樣才能學得更整體。在UCSI大學就讀時，他的爵士音樂啟蒙老師Simon Lee先生（以最高等榮譽畢業於美國波士頓著名的伯克利音樂學院）向他介紹了爵士音樂，從而開拓了他的視野。除此之外，Leroy也受到馬來西亞著名的爵士鋼琴家Michael Veerapen先生、Toro Cheng Pin Xuan先生及Tay Cher Siang先生的精心指導。在爵士鋼琴大師的指導下，他在2015年參與了第一屆馬來西亞爵士鋼琴比賽並榮獲季軍。
2013年開始，當地樂壇對他已經並不陌生，他經常在當地知名俱樂部和酒店等各種場合演出。此時的他還在UCSI大學就讀，他被UCSI大學的音樂系挑選在吉隆坡國際爵士音樂節中表演。在2016年畢業之後，他被皇家加勒比國際遊輪聘請擔任樂隊鍵盤手。
除了專注於鋼琴演奏，Leroy也擅長彈奏吉他和鼓。從彈奏吉他和鼓的過程中，他開始思考如何以一個教育家的思想教導音樂愛好者吉他和鼓。
經過多年的教育經驗，Leroy如今被認知為現代音樂教育家，但他仍然繼續教育古典音樂愛好者。他希望能透過分享他對音樂的熱忱和見解，把玩音樂的歡樂帶到他人的生活裡。
從2017年開始，Leroy常駐於中國廈門，在廈門SLYS學校擔任全職音樂教師。教學經驗豐富的Leroy能教育那些為了興趣或想成為專業音樂人而學習的學生。他精通的樂器有鋼琴、吉他和鼓等。大家常說：「能認識個像Leroy這樣樂於分享的人是件非常開心的事！」
Born in Kedah, Malaysia, Leroy Lee, started piano lessons when he was eight years old. He spent most of his childhood immersed in Classical music, but it was his first piano teacher who introduced him to Pop music that truly inspired him at his younger age.
Spurred on by his love for Popmusic, Leroy decided to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Music at UCSI University (Malaysia) majoring in 『Piano Performance』 and of course as most of us know, in Contemporary music, we should not only focus on one instrument only but at the same time, learn the elements of other instruments as well to gain a wholesome experience in music. At UCSI University, he was introduced to Jazz music in 2010 by his first ever Jazz Piano instructor, Mr.Simon Lee, a Berklee College of Music (Summa Cum Laude) graduate, who widened his musical perspective. On top of that, he also studied with a few Malaysian Jazz piano pioneers such as Mr.Michael Veerapen, Mr.Tay Cher Siang, and also Mr.Toro Cheng Pin Xuan. Equipped with the knowledge from these pioneers, he competed in the First Malaysian Jazz Piano Competition in 2015 and won a prize for being the 3rd best!
Leroy is not a stranger to the performing scene in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) performing at various venues such as clubs and hotels since 2013. He was selected by the Institute of Music of UCSI University to perform at Kuala Lumpur International Jazz Festival in 2013. Upon graduating from UCSI University, he was hired by the Royal Caribbean Cruise Limited as a keyboardist in a band in 2016.
We ought to know that besides him being focused on the Piano, he enjoys playing the guitar and the drums too! From being a hobbyist, he also decided to expand his capabilities as an educator by being able to educate in the above mentioned instruments as well.
After all these years of education and exposure, Leroy is now known more as a Contemporary music educator although he still continues to educate Classical music lovers. He wishes to share his passion and musical knowledge with people, in hope of bringing the joy of music into their lives.
Since the mid of 2017, Leroy is based in Xiamen, China, working at Xiamen SLYS School as a full time music educator. Leroy is experienced to educate music lovers from those who want to just learn for fun to training them to be professionals as well. He is well versed in educating the following: Piano (All levels), Guitar (Beginner), Drums(Beginner) just to name a few. Leroy loves to share and it is often lovely toget to know such a person like him!
