糖葫蘆，又叫糖墩兒、糖球，起源於宋朝，每個人的童年回憶裡是不是都有一串酸酸甜甜的糖葫蘆呢？傳統做法是將山楂用竹籤穿成串後裹上糖稀，放涼後就會形成脆糖衣，現在，有人會用葡萄、草莓等水果取代山楂來作為材料。
Tanghulu, a popular street food originated in the Song Dynasty, is traditionally made with the hawthorn fruit covered in hard candy on a bamboo skewers(串杆) which are approximately 20cm long. Currently, people will also use other fruits, such as grapes and strawberries, to make this candied snack.
糖葫蘆的英文是sugar-coated haws on a stick, sugar-coated指的是外層的糖衣，haw是山楂, on a stick則表示串在棍子上。大家記住了嗎？
驢打滾是Northeast China東北、Beijing老北京、Tianjin天津衛等地區的傳統小吃。內餡一般為紅豆沙或紅糖，最後撒上黃豆面，外觀猶如老北京郊外野驢撒歡打滾時揚起的黃土，因而得名「驢打滾」。
Lvdagun is steamed glutinous rice rolls filled with red bean paste or brown sugar that is then rolled and covered in a soybean flour crumble(碎屑). Its origins can be traced to the Qing Dynasty. The snack gets its name from its supposed resemblance(相似之處) to a donkey rolling on the ground raising dust.
驢打滾的英文可以直接用普通話音譯，或者你也可以說「Glutinous Rice Rolls Stuffed with Red Bean Paste」。glutinous rice 是糯米，red bean paste 是紅豆沙，意思是用紅豆沙製成的糯米卷。

狗不理包子是中國天津聞名中外的美食。製作材料主要是麵粉、豬肉、生薑、醬油等。天津狗不理包子起源於清朝，「狗不理包子」創始人高貴友，乳名叫「狗子」，他原本把自己開的包子鋪取名為「德聚號」，後因包子鋪生意太好，時常顧不得和客人講話，於是客人都戲稱他「狗子賣包子，不理人」。久而久之，人們喊順了嘴，都叫他「狗不理」，把他所經營的包子稱作「狗不理包子」，而原店鋪字號卻被人們淡忘了。
Goubuli steamed buns are synonymous（同義的）with Tianjin. Its main ingredients include flour, fresh pork, ginger and soy sauce. There are many stories regarding its origin. The most-quoted one relates to a poor village boy nicknamed 「Gouzi」 (puppy).
At 14, he became an apprentice at a food store. Thereafter, he set up his own shop selling steamed baozi. His baozi soon gained immense(巨大的) popularity in a short period of time. As a result, Gouzi got too preoccupied(全神貫注的) with his business to converse with（與…交談）his customers. So, they started to complain, 「Gouzi does not talk to people.」
狗不理包子用英文表達是Goubuli steamed bun, 「狗不理」直接音譯為Goubuli, bun指小圓麵包的意思，狗不理包子還可以表達為Goubuli stuffed-buns, stuffed這裡是指「塞滿了的」的意思。
蝦餃是中國廣東的一道特色小吃，屬於粵菜Cantonese cuisine 的一種，蝦餃起源於20世紀初廣東的一家小茶樓裡，距今已有百年歷史。傳統的蝦餃是semilunar半月形的，餡裡有蝦，有肉，有筍。
