英譯英英語閱讀：《新概念英語第三冊》L2 That's the trouble
一、把下面課文的「音形義」都讀成英語的
'That's the trouble, vicar,' answered Bill. 'It's working all right, but I'm afraid that at one o'clock it will strike thirteen times and there's nothing I can do about it.'
'We'll get used to that Bill,' said the vicar. 'Thirteen is not as good as one but it's better than nothing. Now let's go downstairs and have a cup of tea.'
二、「音形義」都是英語的英語閱讀
1) That's the trouble, vicar,' answered Bill.
1.If something or someone is a trouble,they are a problem,they're a headache.
2.So,Tha's the trouble,we can also say That's the problem.
不需要中文也可以「讀懂」英語的。
3.If we answer someone,we reply TO them,we respond TO them.
4.So,answered Bill means replied Bill(he replied (to Vicar)).
所謂的「英語閱讀」，最怕的就是「讀」是想不起這些英語：越用中文「想」，「想」英語能力越差。
2) 'It's working all right
If something works all right,it works,it is in service.
由英語work all right到英語be in service的「想」正是我們讀再多英語也沒有好好訓練的能力。
3) but I'm afraid that at one o'clock it will strike thirteen times and there's nothing I can do about it.'
1. If you say I'm afraid,you can also say I think,or I'm sorry (about it)
2.If there's nothing I can do about it,I can not do anything about it,I can do nothibg about it.
這些都是非常簡易的英語，「弄成」中文一點不難，但是，要我們「說出」這些英語，就是我們的「短板」了。所以，必須加強用英語學英語能力，而不再是「」再簡單的英語也要用中文說」。
4) 'We'll get used to that Bill,' said the vicar.
我們「學」英語get used to，最難的不是「不懂」它的中文，也「說不出」它的中文。
最難的，是我們「說不出」下面的英語句型：
If you get used to someone or something,you get accustomed to them,you make them a habit,you feel comfortable with them.
如果你一輩子只用中文「理解」英語，可能你就一輩子不會這麼「主動」使用英語。想想我們耗費辣麼多時間本來就是要學並學好英語」，最終卻達不到我們的目的。想想這真是很可怕的事情，
'Thirteen is not as good as one but it's better than nothing. Now let's go downstairs and have a cup of tea.
