Now for a country rumoured around 『dark disgusting food』 (allegedly – I don’t fully agree with this sentiment!) they sure do produce a lot of snacks.

Oh my goodness, these were absolutely divine. Chocolate on the outside caramel on the inside, so sweet it made your tongue curl up and slide down your gullet like a slip-n-slide. But the flavour! Oh the flavour! Some foods just aren’t applicable to the 5 second rule, and this is one of them.

Slightly ironically I’m going to put on a type of 泡麵 here, smaller than your average instant noodles you』d find in China, they are small enough to throw down your throat in just a few suctions. I』d say 8 big bites and it’s done. They have a very strong soy-sauce flavour and aren’t spicy at all. Every Chinese person I』ve met that’s tried it does not like it at all, but I do, don’t judge me!

Although there are hundreds if not thousands of types of crisps in the UK, the most traditional and popular is the prawn cocktail crisps. Now you may be confused by the word 『cocktail』 here; it doesn’t mean 雞尾酒 it just means - 蝦雞尾酒，是一種海鮮菜餚，由帶有雞尾酒調味汁的帶殼的煮熟的蝦組成，配以玻璃杯。

So it’s a glass of lettuce and prawns basically. Prawn flavoured crisps are great, though I don’t think it actually tastes like prawn cocktail or fish at all. It just tastes good, and it’s an English classic!

These are quite terrifying by the description but I』ll try and beautify it as much as I can. Scotch eggs are eggs and sausage wrapped in breadcrumbs. Kind of like a 月餅 but saltier and full of sausage. It’s actually very delicious in my opinion, but you can’t eat too many at once. A lot of foreigners don’t like it, so I guess it’s like the UK’s 豆汁兒.

Savoury little biscuits with a cheesy twist. Great to eat alone, even better when dipping into some form of tangy dip, and amazing with a few chunks of mature cheddar on top. Cheese flavoured biscuits + actual cheese = possibly the best snack combination in the entire history of the universe.
