1）Black and white
Black and white從字面上看是「黑色和白色」，確實它可以代表黑白色的，比如說black-and-white photos表示黑白照片。
不過在英語口語中，常常會用到它的引申含義，大家也容易猜到，既然是黑色和白色，那可不就是黑白分明，白紙黑字寫得清清楚楚嘛！
所以，black and white是指黑白分明的，簡單明了的，或者白紙黑字的意思。

① Hey buddy，don’t worry，that is a black and white issue.
嘿，夥計，不要擔心，那是個簡單明了的問題。

2）Black and blue
Black and white是「白紙黑字」，那black and blue啥意思呢？
Black and blue的含義非常有趣，從字面上看貌似是「黑色和藍色」，但其實指的是你在身體上或精神上受到了創傷，身體或內心「青一塊紫一塊」的感覺。
所以，black and blue意思是遍體鱗傷的，或者身上青一塊紫一塊。
英語例句：
① It is normal to feel black and blue right after you break up with someone.
在你和某某分手後，你感覺遍體鱗傷是很正常的。
② My mom is so angry that she beats me black and blue，because I broke her favorite vase this morning.
我媽是如此地生氣，把我打得青一塊紫一塊，因為今天早上我打破了她最喜歡的花瓶。
3）Man and boy
Man and boy很容易誤解成「一個男士和一個男孩」，到底啥意思呢？其實是強調一個人從一個男孩到成長為一個成年男子，都在做著某件相同的事情。
這一個詞組的用法主要來源於莎士比亞的《哈姆雷特》（Shakespeare's Hamlet），其中寫道：I have been sexton here，man and boy，thirty years.（我從小到大都在這裡當教堂司事，有三十年了）。
因此，man and boy是指從小到大，這一輩子類似的意思。
英語例句：
① Adam has been at this company since 1980，man and boy.
亞當自從1980就在這家公司了，這輩子都在這裡做。
② I have been doing the same job for forty years，man and boy.
我從小到大一直在做這份相同的工作，已經做了四十年了。
