《The very hungry caterpillar》
好餓的毛毛蟲
In the light of the moon, a little eggs lay on the leaf.
月光下，一個小小的卵，躺在樹葉上。
One Sunday morning, the warm sun came up and-pop!-out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
一個星期天的早晨，暖暖的太陽升起來了--啪!--從卵殼裡鑽出一條又瘦又餓的毛毛蟲。
He started to look for some food.
他四下尋找著可以吃的東西。
On Monday, he ate through one apple, but he was still hungry.
星期一，他啃穿了一個蘋果。可他還是覺得餓。
On Tuesday, he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.
星期二，他啃穿了兩個梨子，可他還是覺得餓。
On Wednesday, he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.
星期三，他啃穿了三個李子，可他還是餓。
On Thursday, he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.
星期四，他啃穿了四個草莓，可他還是餓得受不了。
On Friday, he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry.
星期五，他啃穿了五個桔子，可他還是餓呀。
On Saturday, he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice cream cone, one pickle, one slice of swiss cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cake, and one slice of watermelon. That night he had a stomachache.
星期六，他啃穿了一塊巧克力蛋糕，一個冰淇淋蛋筒，一條酸黃瓜，一片瑞士奶酪，一截薩拉米香腸，一根棒棒糖，一塊櫻桃派，一段紅腸，一隻蛋糕，還有一塊甜西瓜。到了晚上，他就胃疼起來!
The next day was Sunday again.The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.
第二天，又是星期天。毛毛蟲啃穿了一片很棒的綠樹葉，這一回他感覺好多了。
Now he wasn’t hungry any more---and he wasn’t a little caterpillar any more. He was a big, fat caterpillar.
現在他一點兒也不餓了--他也不再是一條小毛蟲了。他是一條胖嘟嘟的大毛蟲了。
He built a small house called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and...
他繞著自己的身子，造了一座叫做「繭」的小房子。他在那裡面呆了兩個多星期。然後，他就在繭殼上啃出一個洞洞，鑽了出來，然後……
He was a beautiful butterfly!
他已經是一隻美麗的蝴蝶了!
