　　【試題】

　　Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on why students should be encouraged to develop effective communication skills. You are required to write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

　　【範文】

　　It has been suggested that we students in this day and age are supposed to equip ourselves with effective communication skills, including means of using characters, words and body language to express our thoughts clearly while interacting with others.

　　Primary factors, contributing to the phenomenon, can be summarized as follows. Most importantly, in a society where science and technology have been highly advanced and the pace of life has been increasingly quickening, smooth communicative skills could meet the need of the majority. Consequently, our talents and strengths would be more inclined to be recognized, thereby paving the way for our future, in terms of our studies, career and daily life. For instance, regarding diverse interviews both in the workplace and on campus, good speakers are frequently given priority.

　　Given the reasoning mentioned above, there is no doubt that the ability to communicate with our acquaintances, friends, as well as our family members is of great significance. Accordingly，as university students, we had better improve our communicative and interpersonal skills. Only in this way can we flourish in the contemporary world.
