注意：
bread是不可數名詞，不能用breads；cake是可數名詞。
bread的數量可以用：
a loaf（一條，只）/slice（片）/piece（片）of。
He buttered a piece of bread for himself.
他給自己的一塊麵包塗上黃油。
He bought two loaves of bread.
他買了兩個麵包。
She toasted slices of bread for tea.
她烤了麵包片（幾片麵包）做茶點。
02cake
蛋糕，糕點
Would you like some cake or biscuit?
你想吃蛋糕還是餅乾？
There's some cake in the kitchen if you'd like it.
如果你喜歡的話，廚房裡有一些蛋糕。
cake是可數名詞，我們也常常說a piece/slice of cake
Chocolate milk and a piece of cake is not my idea of dinner.
巧克力牛奶和一塊蛋糕不是我想要的晚餐。
Please cut me a piece of cake/cut a piece of cake for me.
請給我切一塊蛋糕。

Bread and butter
bread是麵包，butter 是黃油，麵包和黃油是老外最基本的生活需求，所以 bread and butter 就是指「生計，主要收入來源」的意思。
Don't quarrel with your bread and butter.

Men are usually supposed to be the breadwinner in a family.
