咱們有個遊戲叫擊鼓傳花，美國有個遊戲叫Hot Potato，而英國的叫Pass the Parcel，三個遊戲很類似，但玩法並不一樣。咱們還有個遊戲叫搶椅子，這個遊戲美國英國的小朋友也會玩，英文名字叫Musical Chairs。本文為大家介紹這四種遊戲。
Musical Chairs 搶椅子
Mom: Let's play Musical Chairs.
媽媽：咱們玩搶椅子吧。
Child: Okay. But how do we play it?
寶寶：好的，但是怎麼玩呢？
Mom: It's easy, and lots of fun.
媽媽：這個很簡單，也很好玩。
First, you put a number of chairs in a circle
首先，把幾把椅子擺成一個圈，
with the chairs facing outwards.
椅子都朝外。
Then, a number of people, with one more person than chairs, stand around the chairs.
然後，數量比椅子多一的幾個人站在椅子外圈。
Someone else plays a song
另外一個人放一首歌，
for an amount of time they want,
多長時間都可以，
not telling the others.
不告訴別人。
When the music stops,
音樂停止的時候，
all try to sit down on a chair.
大家都要搶著坐到椅子上。
It's one person to a chair,
一人一把椅子，
so one person won't get a chair.
所以會有一個人沒有椅子。
Then, they're out
然後，這個人就出局了，
and another chair is taken out.
同時要撤掉一把椅子。
Child: Okay. I'll go ahead and stand by a chair!
寶寶：好的。我去站到椅子旁邊！
Mom: Hold on, I was going to keep telling you that they keep going
媽媽：等等，我接著給你講，大家還會繼續，
until there is one person left
直到只剩一個人，
and that person wins.
這個人就贏了。
Hot Potato 燙手山芋
Mom: Alright now everybody, let's play Hot Potato!
媽媽：好了，各位，現在咱們玩燙手山芋吧！
Let's make a circle.
咱們圍成一個圈。
Very good. We always need at least 3 people.
很好。咱們需要至少3個人。
Child: Should we sit or stand?
寶寶：咱們是坐著還是站著？
Mom: Either should work,
媽媽：都行，
but whatever you choose,
不過選擇好以後，
everyone has to do it.
每個人都要這麼做。
Which do you guys want?
你們想怎麼著？
Children: Stand!
寶寶們：站著！
Mom: Okay, let's stand in our circle.
媽媽：好的，咱們站成一個圈。
Good. Now I'm going to hand the ball to Sarah.
很好。現在我把球傳給莎拉。
We will pretend that it's a hot potato!
咱們假裝這是一個燙手山芋！
We will toss it around
我們要把它扔給旁邊的人，
so that it doesn't "burn" us.
這樣它才不會「燙到」自己。
Now, I will play a song
現在，我來放一首歌，
and we will pass it around as the music plays.
在音樂播放的同時，咱們把它傳來傳去。
When the music stops,
音樂停止時，
the passing and tossing stops.
傳遞就停止。
Whoever has the potato is out!
土豆在誰那兒誰就出局了！
Also, if you drop the potato at any time while the music is playing,
還有，如果音樂播放中你把土豆掉了，
you are also out.
你也會出局。
The last person to stay in the circle without getting the potato wins!
最後留在圈內，沒有拿到土豆的人就贏了！
Are we ready?
準備好了嗎？
Child: Can I pick a song?
寶寶：我能選個歌嗎？
Mom: Sure.
媽媽：當然。
Child: Can we use "Hot Potato" by The Wiggles?
寶寶：咱們能用The Wiggles的《燙手山芋》嗎？
Mom: Okay. Let's start!
媽媽：好的。咱們開始吧！
British Pass the Parcel英式擊鼓傳花
Mom: Now, let's play Pass the Parcel from the UK!
媽媽：現在咱們玩來自英國的擊鼓傳花吧！
Pass the Parcel的字面意思是傳包裹。
Between these many layers of wrapping paper is some candy.
這一層一層包裝紙裡包的是一些糖果。
As the music plays
音樂響起的時候，
we pass it along
我們來傳遞它，
and when it stops,
音樂停止的時候，
a person unwraps a layer
一個人剝開一層，
to see if they won something.
看看能得到什麼。
Child: Oohh! I hope I can get some candy!
寶寶：哦！希望我能得到點糖果！
Chinese Pass the Parcel 中式擊鼓傳花
Mom: We have a similar game in China too.
媽媽：咱們在中國也有一個類似的遊戲。
The literal translation is "Play the Drum and Pass the Flower",
直譯過來是Play the Drum and Pass the Flower，
But we can call it "Chinese Pass the Parcel" too.
但是咱們也可以叫它Chinese Pass the Parcel。
Child: What's the difference?
寶寶：區別是什麼啊？
Mom: In our game, there is no big winner in the end.
媽媽：在咱們的遊戲中，最後沒有一個最大贏家。
Instead, whoever gets the flower or any other item we pass should give a little performance,
而是誰拿到花或者其他我們傳的東西，誰就要表演一個小節目，
like a little dance or song.
比如跳一支舞或者唱一首歌。
Child: Got it. Let's play this one.
寶寶：明白了。那咱們玩這個吧。
