Requirements of Concentration Limits for Certain Restricted Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products

1 SCOPE

This standard specifies the maximum allowable levels of restricted substances in electrical and electronic products and the corresponding compliance criteria.

This standard is applicable to the control of such restricted substances in electrical and electronic products as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated biphenyl ethers (PBDE).

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

3.1

Restricted substances

Substances required by the laws and regulations or the customers to be under restricted use in electrical and electronic products.

3.2

Electrical and electronic products (EEP)

Equipment and auxiliary products with a rated operating voltage of not exceeding d.c. 1,500V or a.c. 1,000V, which operate by means of current or electromagnetic field, or which are intended to generate, transmit and measure the said current and electromagnetic field.

限用物質 restricted substances

法律法規或顧客要求在電子電氣產品中限制偵用的物質。

3.2

電子電氣產品 electrical and electronic products KEP

依靠電流或磁場K作，發生、傳輸和測雖這種電流和磁場，額定丁.作電壓在直流電不超過1 500 V、 交流電不超過1 000 V的設備及配套產品。

均質材料 homogeneous materials

由一種或多種物質組成的各部分均勻一致的材料

零部件 components

電子電氣產品中具有一定功能或用途的結構單元。

註：如元器件、機箱、支架、摞絲釘、開關、導線等。
